I've only read the first book, but I've bought the second and third ones. Just wondering if maybe I should just sit back and enjoy the show, since it's not following the books exactly, or should I go ahead and enjoy both at the same time??? Whaddya think?? Do you find this valuable?

"I watched one episode of the show & ordered the books that night.Love them so much, can't stand waiting for the next one."
That's exactly what I did.

I discovered how amazing the books are, and after season two disappointed me so much, I'm only interested in the books now.

Charlaine Harris has one of the most unique writing styles I have ever come across. Her brand of humour is so great - it's often subtle, and I wish the show would pick up on more of that.

You should give her other series a go. The Lily Bard books are just amazing - Lily and Jack are two of the best characters you will ever meet - and Charlaine gave them a cameo in one of the Sookie Stackhouse books. Also, she has the fascinating Harper and Tolliver. Also there are the Aurora Teagarden books.

Don't limit yourself to one Charlaine Harris series!
