This is great! A thread to discuss the show with no spoilers permitted!! We can discuss whatever episode we want, whether it's from Season 1, the current Season 2, or maybe even speculate on Season 3, as long as we don't post spoilers!! I know that's hard - I'm a "SookieBookie" myself - I just think of it a practicing self control - LOL!! A BIG THANK YOU to Morgaine for setting up this thread & let's follow her direction: Let's be civil & have fun!!! If it were not for CH, AB would have not been interested in TB, therefore, no Wiki, and no fun! We have so much to be grateful for, so let's not blow it!! 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

I give this thread my seal of approval. I'm sure the HBO dudes were getting tired of reading a bunch of random chatter in the other thread. I'll see you all after Sunday's show to discuss what went down.

I discover I'm the only one awake at 3 am, so I'm talking to myself -- LOL! Talk to you after the episode! Do you find this valuable? |

I've been thinking about this and if it's Lorena who grabbed Barry she's going to feed on Barry? Or get info. from him how he got Sookies message? And what does she do with Bill in the mean time? What if Hoyt is asleep and Jessica heard Barry's message just as Bill, Lorena, and Eric did and it's her who grabs Barry and says Sookies in trouble? Just a thought.0 out of 2 found this valuable. In the preview you see Lorena biting someone. I think it's Barry.

That was intense! Loved it! The web their weaving with the vampire lore and history is awesome and enthralling! Something tells me, there be trouble in paradise after a while, though. Loved the Godric character, very evolved! This storyline COULD be the best if they did it right, and they have a great start! As always, love Sookie and Bill Love story! Jason and Bill: aawww! And Lorena got her ass kicked.... bravo!! Barry lived..and they all lived happily ever after....... Someone throw Sam a lifeline, please poor guy! Poor Jessica too! I didnt see this coming! Maybe the Dr. that saved Sookie can help her!! Yikes! Benchmark episode! 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"That was intense! Loved it!Absolutely a benchmark episode! I can't believe how much action they packed into one episode... Godric - Awesome! So understanding, philosophical. I thought he'd be trying to prove a point by going to the church willingly. Yes, very evolved...didn't take him long to take out Gabe. Lorena - I was afraid that was the last we'd seen of her. So hot in the red dress...mmmm... Sarah to Jason: "Grow a brain cell!" Too funny! Then shoots him in the crotch and cusses. Loved it! I wonder what happens to her now? Steve Newlin to Sookie: "What do they see in you?" HA! My thoughts exactly... Jason hugging Bill....good Heavens - that was funny! MA - I hope we're about done with her and her crap. Tara and Eggs hitting each other made me uncomfortable... Jessica and Hoyt - I feel sorry for those two. But, yeah, maybe Dr. Ludwig can help! Good idea! Do you find this valuable? |

Now this was an episode I can watch over and over and over and... so much detail and foreshadowing and humor. I laughed more in this episode than I have in a while I love it !Loved Godric ! Compassion, intelligence, but definitely a don't frak with me attitude. Who is going to take out MA ? Please somebody..quick ! The scene with Eric when he and Sookle are trying to get out of the fellowship was funny - lifted right from the first Die Hard series - brilliant ! Lorena - got what she deserved ! Bravo Sookie for standing her ground. I wonder, even though Godric didn't know who she was..did he know how she got there ie. Eric ? Eggs and Tara - eeeeech ! Help her ! Her mother and Laf were right ! The ending - wow ! Got to watch again ! d Do you find this valuable? |

Did anybody notice how much Eric smiled in this episode? And wasn't he funny doing his imitation of an FOTS geek? And was he daring Bill to start a fight? He really wants to kick his ass, doesn't he? LOL.

"Now this was an episode I can watch over and over and over and... so much detail and foreshadowing and humor.I can't agree with you more! I loved the atmosphere in Godric's nest -- vampires and humans were so incredibly at ease with one another. It was almosr like a housewarming -- of course minus Stan's petulance, Lorena's vicious, pathetic Glen Close/Fatal Attraction star turn and Luke's entrance that turns the nest into a real-life version on the newest FOTS game show: "Who Wants to be a Martyr" The subtle way Eric struggled to understand Godric's transcendence -- especially when Godric turned down the opportunity to feed on the AB neg human and after Godric explained why he didn't try to escape -- was dazzling. I thought Eric totally bloomed as a character last night. The MA character and storyline now disgust me. Daphne's heart carved up, made into a heave-provoking, blood-oozing souffle was revolting enough. But, NO! -- the writers had to go one step further. That Tara/Eggs orgy of "I like sex with my violence" sent my revulsion meter into the red zone -- and it's still there. If I had a flamethrower, I would turn MA into a crispy cirtter RIGHT NOW! Just an aside to the ending: until last night, I was the lone member of my family watching TB. My son (22 year-old military vet with mideast service) made me bring him up-to-speed and watched this epi with me. When Luke came in and opened his jacket, my son said, "ooooh, this is going to be really ugly." I said, "yeah -- bomb!" My son then pointed out that the bomb was covered with silver chains and plating so when it explodes the metal will create lots of "vamp schrapnel" and likely shred the vamps outside and in, killing more of them and/or maiming them permanently. I think he's right -- we'll see next week. Do you find this valuable? |

Those two spend so much time scowlin' 'n growlin', it seems, in an effort to be intimidating that when they finally do crack a smile, they almost look funny and out of character....So did my dad. He doesn't really want Bill to pick a fight. He just likes to taunt him. He knows Bill won't fight him. And Bill knows, too, that Eric would tear him apart. And probably smile the whole time. "I'm lost & dont understand some things about this last episode.. ( going through the blogs really doesnt help any )Yes, Hugo is a traitor. But Godric is trying to teach that vampires and humans can get along and live peacefully together. By letting Hugo go free, he can avoid creating any violence and bloodshed between the two groups. "I'm lost & dont understand some things about this last episode.. ( going through the blogs really doesnt help any )Godric let Hugo off the hook with his life because he didn't want any unnecessary killing. Hugo betrayed Isabel, Godric, Sookie but ultimately no one was physically harmed by him. I also think Godric let Hugo live because Isabel admitted she loved Huge in spite of his betrayal. By contrast, Gabe was killed by Godric (IMO) because he attempted to rape Sookie. If you recall, Godric also made a point of pointing out Sookie's courage and how he valued her as a good friend of the vampire community. Killing Gabe was a necessary yet symbolic verdict on Gabe's brutality against a member of his "tribe." Do you find this valuable? |
