Post your thoughts here!"
I am 100% with pellia on this one. There isn't one thing more that I could add to what she's said. (But I will anyway...)
Yeah, I have read the books in both of the series, and I have watched True Blood faithfully, but haven't seen the Twilight movies, yet. While the Twilight folks have a few things in their favor, the True Blood vamps are just so much meaner and probably have a pretty damned good game plan in a fight with other vampires. Diet Coke of vampires! That's just too funny!

"Let's take a less-obvious one on one. Alice versus Pam. Since Alice can see the outcome of decisions including those of vampires, would she be able to predict Pam's moves in advance and win? "
Hmmm, wow, this is a 'double-cute' match-up! My two favorite femme fatales from each series!

Alice is a scary little thing, and if I recall she was able to get the upper hand on Jasper, the best Cullen fighter, in their sparring match, yes? She danced around and dodged him (thanks to her precog) until she had an opening, then she went for his throat. Gotcha! She can defend herself effectively, and defend with a capital 'D'! (like the '76 Pittsburg Steelers. And I dating myself?)

Pam is an altogether different sort. She took out a bunch of vamps single handed during the Nevada takeover (Go, Pam!) She may twirl un-self-consciously on the floor at Fangtasia, but in a fight she doesn't dance around, she just goes in for the win. She believes the best defense is a good offense. Just ask Hallow and her coven. Oh wait....

NOW, if we go all Dr.Phil on these chicks, we could say that Alice, thanks to her chosen vegetarian lifestyle and/or the influence of the kind Dr. Cullen, she has a good amount of respect for life that might possibly give her pause in a fight. She is not a killer at heart, she rarely has to fight, and this might cause her to hesitate at the moment if truth.
Pam, made and trained by a certain Viking with, ahem, a questionable respect for life, has shown absolutely no hesitation to kill when necessary. She never claims to be a main-streaming, bottled blood kinda gal. She enjoys the hunt, she enjoys the fight.

Alice would give Pam a hard go of things, no doubt about it. She would wiggle away again and again, but Pam is nothing if not persistent, and her experience in a brawl would serve her well.
Dance off winner: Pam! (don't get blood in your hair, girlfriend)

I'ts really hard to say, comparing the two is like apples and oranges. BUT I think if they had a fight the vamps on True Blood probably have the advantage, they seem to be older and their a little more cut throat (no pun intended!) if you know what i mean. Do you find this valuable?

I also read all the Twilight and TB books. In Twilight, Bella is just too whiney!! Atleast in TB, Sookie will stand up for herself and go toe-to-toe with the vamps. I really liked the Twilight books, BUT...TB wins HANDS-DOWN, or rather, fangs down!! Do you find this valuable?

i have to say i've read both book series, and watched every episode of TB and viewed the movie Twilight like twenty times, so i got to say that true blood would kick twilight's ass so har it would never be able to walk again...
fist the books are way better, and the series is much more interesting, than some teen/vegeterian-vampire/romance...BORING...
and second the characters are way hotter...please, don't tell me Eric Northman would kill every Twilight character's ass in a tenth second...

I first off have to say that I don't think that any of the characters within Twilight is an actual vampire. I know some authors take liberties with differences in vampires, but real vampires could drain within a minute without batting an eyelash. They'd probably enjoy it too. Real vampires have to be quick and cunning because of their need to survive. When nothing short of being ripped limb from limb and being burned can kill you and there is no need to even worry about survival I think you'd just become a complacent softie.

I think that if there were a face off, the Twilight "vamps" would be dead before they hit the ground.

I am true blood all the way. Bill is hottness. I am sorry, but if Edward can't make love to his girlfriend because he thinks he can't control himself then that boy has a problem. Bill had no problem taking Sookie and makinglove to her, he knows how to contol himself. Sookie was the one who initiated him biting her. She knows a real man when she sees one. Bella needs to come over to the other side of the vamp world. Do you find this valuable?

True Blood would win by far. I call Twilight the PG13 version of TB. Besides, Twilight is something they would play on the Disney channel. Do you find this valuable?

Twilight is so virginal compared to True Blood. Stephanie Meyer wrote a good clean book. I say anything that makes kids read is great. There was not really any sex or violence in it either. I hated book 4. I think it will be the hardest to make into a movie. When I was a young fangbanger by vamp of choice was LeStat. I think he and Eric would fight to the death and LeStat would win because he is a badass mother fanger! Do you find this valuable?

I have read and seen twilight and to me it is a teen movie, as to true blood it is very action pack, and sexy, and has humor. but in the end twilight is no competion for true blood.. I feel that what is in true blood, were's soups, ect are all dangerous and all can fight very well. and can be very deadly, but yet can be your friend as well..so TURE BLOOD RULES!!!!!! I also read both series- The Twilight series and Sookie Stackhouse Series. While the
Twilight series is an excellent read. It is geared for a younger audience. (And so are the
movies)-While True Blood and The Sookie Stackhouse Series are geared for adults. There really isn't any comparison. True Blood Rocks- It's sexier, scarier, and much more
exciting.

In order for this to be a "vamp-off" Twilight would first need to have vamps in it! Twilight isn't a vampire movie, it's a chick-flick that just happens to use bits of vampire lore in it. The whole series is a watered-down kids version of what a vampire story would be. There is no contest- True Blood wins without breaking a sweat. All the Robert Pattinson obsessed lil kiddies need to go back to watching Hannah Montana and shut the f*%& up. Do you find this valuable?

I have to say I have not read any of the books from both series but I have watched Twilight and True Blood. First There are no vamps in Twilight talk about a joke. I watched it thinking OK WTF is this crap no Fangs!!!!!! OK first lets talk about the venomous bite....snakes have fangs to penetrate the skin of animals or any prey then inject venom. Hello you need fangs to do this! True Blood is the best vamp story I have seen besides the one and only Bram Stokers Dracula and interview with a vampire. I love the sexiness and raw feeling of True Blood oh and lets not forget the romance. Also who cares if you can sparkle but can you throw a chick down and make love to her like Bill can not just stare at her like you want to cry. True Blood wins hands down!
