Hey...I LOVE....LOVE....TRUE BLOOD....But I love both of them, they are both very different stories, and I can watch Twilight with my grandkids...I can't let them watch True Blood...it is nice to have different variations of vampires....so they grow up to experience scifi like I did and to learn to love it like I do.....I give equal time to both....Vampire Bill is more my age, while Edward is my kiddie porn in my mind and some of you know exactly what I am talking about.......who says we have to pick only one.... 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Well from someone who's read the books, watched the show, and watched the movie...Charlaine Harris' books a detective stories, not love stories, yes there is romance in them, but its all about solving the crimes. Stephenie Meyer's books on the other hand are romance to the fullest. I have to say that the True Blood vamps would win in a real fight. Twilights vamps are beautiful, and sparkly, True Bloods vamps are dangerous and sometimes sinister. The Cullens would go down fast. (anyone whos read book four, knows what the true blood vamps can do in a fight, twilighters have no chance.) 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree with all of you there is no comparrison between truel blood and twilight. It's like comparing a pg 13 to a R movie...not like that's much of a difference anymore but you know where I am going with this. No offence to any teenagers but twilight was ruined for me because of the teen poppers who became obssessed with twilight and almost ruined vampires for me forever....almost. Then comes along trueblood comes into my life and saves me. I think it's dumb that they are sparkly in the dark....oookkkk. Truelblood has Eric which as we can see can pull someone apart. I definitely think Trueblood will kick some major arss!!! 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

There's no real comparison between the two. There's much more of everything, character diversity, relationship complexity with True Blood. Twilight is simply another teenage angst movie with fangs. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Yeah, but Twilight they really don't have fangs.
Twilight is PG vamps compared to NC-17 vamps with True Blood.

There really is no comparing them, you just have to take them differently.
True Blood I can't watch with my 12 daughter and she can't read the Sookie series compared to Twilight were she and her friends can read series and watch the movies. True Blood has more depth with regards to the story lines, politics and racial indifference to teenage love.

That is hilarious, a vamp off. In many of the fanfic stories, there is often reference to the Twilight books. In those fanfic stories, Eric and Pam always thought it was ridiculous that vampires can 'sparkle.' Back to my point, hands down, the TB vamps can kick the Cullen clan butts. Stephen versus Robert (although I think both are very handsome men). The whole sparkly/being able to come out in the sunlight creates a disadvantage for TB vamps but Bill, Eric and all the characters from CH can kick the teenage vampire a** from twilight. On a separate point, imagining a fight between Bella and Sookie would be interesting, because Bella starts to have powers towards the 4th book after she becomes a vampire and has a baby. I think Sookie will later develop her telepathy further in the future, therefore can and will gloriously kick Bella's butt in a vamp off. heeheee. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

It's funny, after reading your response to this, you and I are in complete agreement. I LOVE TB and I am a HUGE fan of Twilight, probably a bit more then I should be for my age. My belief is that if it came down to it, the TB vamps would kick the Cullens asses, even James and Victoria would go down. My heart remains with Twilight but I love the down and dirty of TB. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I love both True Blood and Twilight, but I think Twilight vamps would kick the asses of the True Blood vamps.

Twilight vamps not only have virtually no weaknesses (the only way to kill them is to rip them to shreds and burn the pieces and only a supernatural being has the strength to do so), but some of them also have abilities above and beyond the 'normal' vampire senses, especially the Volturi. Between Jane (illusion of pain), Alec (deprevation of senses), Renata (makes those around her destracted and aimless wandering) of the Volturi and Zafrina (creates and projects illusions) of the Amazonian clan, and Kate (produces an electrical current over her body which shocks and incapacitates her attackers) of the Denali clan, and Benjamin (can control the 4 elements) of the Egyptian covan, plus Alice Cullen's ability to see the future and Jasper's ability to control emotions, I don't think the True Blood Vamps would stand a chance, especially if the vamps who do not have defensive/offensive abilities, had guns with silver ammunition and armed with wooden stakes, etc... I think the the True Blood vamps would go down hard.

There is no comparison or even a need for a vamp off...
True Blood makes sense....
Twilight - nonsense.
Bill Compton, Eric, even if Lafayette becomes a vampire; Edward Cullen will always be a sparkly gay dude.
Twilight is for the preteens to not feel left out.... We True Bloods know where we stand and what is the best in entertainment.

It's hard to say because the Twilight vamps could dig up the TB vamps and expose them to the light and then it'd be all over. Also, the Twilight vamps don't have fangs but if they bite you, you're instantly impaired as the virus overtakes one rapidly.

Another thing is that the TB vamps generally are lone rangers when it comes to fighting but the Twilight vamps are a family who hunts together and fights together. They know each other and would likely be better at a coordinated attack.

Alice is psychic, so she'd know what's coming and Edward can read vampire minds so those are advantages. Jasper can impact peoples' emotions, so that could come into play too.

Eric, of course, would kick serious byootocks, and in a head to head with Carlisle, I think Eric would win.

But if it was a group of equal numbers with the fight taking place like a war, where they have to find each other and then wage a group battle, I think I'd have to put my money on the Twilight vamps.

Twilight-schmilight. Who gives a flying fig that the Cullens can walk about in the daytime. Honestly, who would want a broody ever-teen vamp in the neighborhood? Talk about your Stalker-Boy in the making. The True Blood vamps got a much harder mentality that have made it possible for them to go unnoticed and stay hidden in plain sight for...ever. TB vamps don't get all squeamish when they have to spill blood. As for ripping limbs apart, Eric showed that he's quite capable of doing that himself. Twilight vamps are all angst and attitude. TB vamps are bad-to-the-bone when it comes to taking action. Hands down, True Blood Vampires would whip wussy Twilight vamp-lite wannabes. 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Hee hee, I believe that the little teenage Twilight girlies have discovered the quote from Stephen Moyer that Edward 'Dreamboat' Cullen is a pussy and are raging all over the internet at the moment. They're a little slow, i'm sure he said that like a month ago. I luv Stephen <3

Have read all the Twilight books because the author dedicates them to my absolute favourite band, Muse. I liked them but got increasingly frustrated with the lack of sex and the fourth book was so crap it just killed my interest. Then the movie came out and all these people went crazy insane and I began to find it extremely annoying. I liked the movie though and will probably go see New Moon, but it doesn't compare to True Blood at all.

I'm a 23 year old woman and I appreciate the... raunchy, badass, sexiness of True Blood... but I can also appreciate the romantic, fluffy, love story of Twilight.

But... if you compare TB vamp skills and weaknesses vs. Twilight vamp skills and weaknesses... Twilight vamps would kick ass. Jane would just have to *LOOK* at you and you'd be on the floor writhing in pain. She wouldn't *even* have to touch you. If that's not badass... I don't know what is! With all of the added abilities that the Twilight vamps have, added to the fact that they don't have a lot of weaknesses (beside being torn apart)... I think it would be *REALLY* hard for the True Blood vamps to bring down the Twilight Vamps.

Very well put konfetti!! I think YOU should become a writer. Maybe you already are. I love the way you narrowed each down in a very positive, matter of fact way. Very nice. I agree with you in every aspect. I love Twilight for what it is, and the fact it took me back to a magical time in my own life. I LOVE True Blood for what it is, and how the story continues to unfold..... the substance, and thought it provokes in me. The character development, the rawness, the sexuality, the humor, the witiness...... the genius (thank you Alan Ball). I could go on and on. Personally the two are on such a different level, I don't know if you can really, and truly compare them, but if you are TB wins hands down. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I FULLY agree with you on book FOUR!! I feel the exact same way, I actually loved the movie, just
because it took me back to "that time" in my own life, and I too will go see New Moon, with my pre-teen daughter, however, Twilight in general doesn't hold a candle to True Blood!!

That is probably the best statement I have heard in a while. Thank you.

As for the argument. We all know my long-winded opinion on the quality of the Twilight franchise as a whole, but to sum it up: mediocre. It's good, clean fun with no real plot and nothing to keep you interested but the fluff. But, personally, I prefer my fluff to be laced (on moderate to heavy levels depending on the quality) with smut. Plain and simple. I like adult situations (not JUST sex, violence and GOOD vocabulary too).
When it comes down to it, the TB vamps would win before the Cullens (even paired with the Denali clan and the Volturi) had a chance to say "eternity sucks." Really, it's true. Even the silver-tongued Abercrombie model-wannabe with anger issues (yes, that's means Ed) couldn't say it fast enough. Twilight vamps may have more sparkle than Tiffany's at sunrise, but the have nothing to back it up. They don't hone their baser insticts. Hunting animals as a opposed to humans? C'mon... that's only something you do after laying in a cemetary for 100+ years (think Lestat. Yummm... rats).
I'd like to see you put Eric Northman in a room with Edward Cullen and see how far the pretty boy gets. Our lovely Nordic sex-on-legs would rip him apart just as easily as that asshole hick in our latest, gore-soaked episode. Even Pam would kick his ass, just for having bad hair. TB vamps are REAL. The nitty gritty. That's not power in Cullen's posture, that's sexual frustration. TB wins the fight, Twilight taps out after 30 seconds.

Well. As far as Twilight and Trueblood battle is concerned... TRUEBLOOD wins hands down. I have seen both. But I am hooked on TrueBlood.
And Alexander S.(with his mucho delicious, lip smacking, make me remember to breath, try to slow my pulse when I see him, love to hear him talk self.....great voice) probably helps the show TrueBlood..

Of course I like the storylines, the cast, AB is a talented writer. when I watch TB I just want to watch more, more
