Discussion: BOOK 10 Speculation, and theory

"The more we talk and speculate - the more I think Eric is in a boat load of trouble / danger.

I'm still betting a fight - and Eric on top.
But the "Top" basically means he inherits both states / territories, which is something he has never seemed to have wanted.
I am pretty sure some one said as much some where along the line.
If Eric had wanted to be a King - he could have been, but I think he sees the power and freedom of being small."

"A child would be the decisive factor for Sookie's decision to keep involved in the Supe politics and BS. She'd get out of it. There's no way she'd stay involved with a child's life at stake. A couple fanfic writers have actually already gone that route,having Sookie move away and come back years later cuz she was trying to protect a child she had or adopted or whatever. "

"My question for everyone is, would moving away really help Sookie get out of Supe politics? Especially with her being so well know in their world. Any other ideas as to how she would get out of that world?"

Could it be possible for Sookie to adopt Arlene's kids? She's always had a motherly affection for them, and now it seems as though they will be on their own. Could the family life that Sookie yearns for come from Arlene's children? She would still have to decide what it would mean to raise a child with a vampire, but she could still achieve some of the life she desires."

"That's not a bad thought, but I still go back to the same question. Would Sookie really be willing to drag a child into the dangerous life she leads?"

"I know a lot of people are probably going to disagree with me, and this really probably is a strech, BUT...
I don't think we've seen the "real" Eric, and there may be a chance that Eric is willing to give up or sacrifice some, if not all of his position within the vampire political realm.

When Eric was beneath Hallow's spell, he ran to what his heart's desire was--- Sookie. Although he was underneath magical influence, he said to her that willing to sacrifice everything for Sookie and to live with her; I think that in Dead to the World we saw the REAL Eric, not a facade that is put up because it is what is expected of Eric. Don't get me wrong; I still think he's a wily snake, but I think in the future we are really going to see a lot more vulnerability and a capability of loving more than himself.

Also, while they are "doing it" Eric keeps saying things like "this is right" and "this is best." To me, this was totally out of character for Eric--- when have we seen him show anything but badass attitude and invulnerability?"

Remember Bill reading the arrest records and Claudine making her name disappear from the hospital computer ..
