Yes Eric puts Eric First and he even says that in a round about way yet he is always there when she needs him has taken numerous bullets for her and done things for her like without asking and without making her feel like a kept woman and he also told Sookie to give him a little credit when he finally remembered everything that his feelings were real and he was a little hurt that she would think differently

Vampire politics is treacherous at best and he hasn't lived so long without being a survivor and master strategist. He's the undead example of why you should always put your oxygen mask on first before trying to help anyone else. There's nothing wrong with putting yourself first, it's instinctual, and at least he's honest about it. He doesn't make sweeping declarations, he just acts. He's also been there for Sookie even when it goes against his natural inclination not to get wrapped up with a human. He always gives her what she needs, unasked, and that's the true sign of caring. Can't say the same about her other two suitors. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"I think too something about Eric is yes, he is pretty important in the vampire world and he's learned how to protect himself and has been this way for 1000 years. Even if he was head over heals in love with Sookie, I cant see him changing those principles overnight. Its like any good OTP couple. They both have to learn and work at things until they get it right. Sookie has things she can work on too. If he was perfect, there would be no story and he would probably get killed off. I do think Eric puts Sookie first when shes with him though. Alot of that self doubt is coming from Sookies pov, and it doesnt neccessarily mean shes right. The most annoying thing about reading the books, the series and subsequent fanfic stories is how insanely immature Sookie can be. What I keep forgetting is that she's quite young, hasn't had many experieces and is involved with beings that are hundreds of years old. Eric out of all the Supes she's met seems to be very indulgent and patient with her unlike Bill who just seems mostly annoyed and exasperated around her. Bill lived in a time when women didn't have much independence and Sookie is nothing if not independent. It's funny that Eric's approach is suprisingly more modern than Bill's! I think he "gets" Sookie's tendency to be fiercely independent because, as CH said in thebooks, he himself tends to buck the rules. He's not the average vampire and Sookie certainly isn't your average human. It's good match and I hope it works out.

Yes in the show Bill killed Long Shadow and Eric just stood ther but in the book Eric was the one who killed Long Shadow and paid a fine to Hot Rain Long Shadow maker.They changed it for the series for some reason.I did not like that they had changed that part for TV.

1.they are in love, although none of the 2 still has accepted or discovered2.Both are complemented very well, he leaves her be herself and she feels happy and has fun with him 3.both are complemented incredibly good in bed, and she knows he is the best lover who she has, the most comprehensive and the most complacent 4.she says that he is the person that she cares more 5.He is always trying to protect her, even if he is not close to it, provided is pending to her and that nothing is missing 6.has always been honest with her, since the beginning of history, in all respects, except when he wanted to take her blood or her proof of him, but for me it has done just to try to feel close to her by the bond of blood 7.he loves her so much, so than any detail to change in her, he it he realizes 8.she unconsciously cares for him in dangerous situations and she not understands why, she think than is by the bonds of blood, but we know the real reason...=) 9.Eric has shown that loves Sookie not with words but with deeds that is the most important 10.she thinks knows him, but it is not, behind him hides the simple and loving man who was going to leave everything to stay with her forever... and I could go on and on....hehehehe...=) TEAM ERIC!!! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. The queen said she had to go to the Pyriamid (can't spell sorry). Quinn took her to the wedding (the queens) and the Queen wanted her there for that. In Dallas Eric kept popping up to make sure she was OK!!!!! Hello he has had her best interest all along. He might not have liked who she was with ( I mean hello it wasn't him) But he has never interupted her relationships. There was Quinn, Alcide, Bill. He never broke any of them up. They just dissolved because they weren't right. But I think Eric and Sookie are perfect! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Continuing on with the list #11 Eric introduced Sookie to her long lost Great Grandfather. #12 Eric helps Sookie rescue Bill from his "mother?"/maker #13 Eric has always helped Sookie with repairs to her house & property when needed. #14 Eric pays for the stuff of Sookie's that he breaks #15 Eric can offer more protection than any other sup for Sookie. Let's remember that Eric's developed his feelings for Sookie by himself. He was never "ordered" to seduce Sookie to gain her services. Therefore, Eric's relationship with Sookie was always on the level. He never based the relationship on a mission which is really important to Sookie.

I think that another reason why Eric and Sookie should be together is because they have great sex and Sookie has never had a complaint. Sure she says hes the best shes ever had but he also has a romantic element to their love making. She did have a complaint when she was with Bill. In book 2 during Bill and Sookie's makeup scene, she asks him to be sweet and he continues to be rough with her because he said "its been too long". Sounds like he uncaring lover, oh and lets not forget about his dazed out rape. Her scenes were never descibed when she was with Quinn so I can't comment on him. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Eric and Sookie should be together if for nothing than the extremely hot sexual chemistry the two have. Even when she was with Bill, they had this thing going on. Eric just seems so...words escape me, but--whoo! Sure, he aggravates her and he never listens when she says to back off, but he always treats her with respect.
