"I have never witnessed anything as romantic as when Sookie runs to Bill and he knows she's coming...and then of course, it gets even better. Their connection goes beyond amazing and I physically have to stop myself from fastforwarding to the next Bill/Sookie scene. I pray that Alan Ball departs from the books (which I haven't read. Many thanks to Ms. Harris for creating such a fascinating world, but dear God, let's stop this talk of Eric madness) and follows his instincts about the story he's creating, with the phenomenal actors he has. I see no reason why the books and the show don't depart from each other, both remaining unique and, presuming the books' fans are correct, wonderful. Stephen and Anna cannot do a better job and I don't think I can bear it if their characters meet the end of the road as a couple as the book spoiler threads indicate."well that's not so clear even in the books, sometimes it just seems CH is taking a long road to get that two together again. But who knows, i always felt there was a lot of things we don't know about The mission and that Sookie's telepathic powers are not enough for having so much people interested.I really hope AB goes on his way also, he is doing a terrific job and all the crew, they just have me mesmerized thinking all day in TB (allright, SM would be the one to blame the most) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. "Oh I hope so! As far as I'm concerned, and as trite as it sounds, Bill and Sookie are meant to be! "I couldn't agree with you more. I will go along for the ride but I need B/S to find their way back to eachother through all the obstacles and confusion AB will send their way. I would be happy to have them stay together throughout the series but I don't have faith that it will go that way. I told my mom (who comes over every Sunday to watch with me and my husband) that I refuse to buy anymore seasons on DVD until the end of the series, because if B/S aren't happily in love by the end -- I don't want them! LOL I must confess that I read the Twilight books and was deeply depressed throughout New Moon and Eclipse...had my lovers not survived I woud have burned the books in protest! Now I must confess that I love TB and that it puts Twilight to SHAME! Thank you AB :0) You're doing a great job...so far (tee hee) ;0) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

But from things I've read, Bill fans are so huge that now when she writes her latest books she "has" to take that into consideration......otherwise she will loose a large amount of book sales. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. "JMHO, I don't think CH ever intended for Sookie and Bill to get back together....I don't know if she intended a whole lot when she started out. I've read almost all the books, and I would be hard-pressed to believe that she pre-planned this entire series before she started writing it. I think that she just writes as she goes. The books I've read were kind of sloppy. Maybe she has more of an outline now? Anyway the books are like a soap opera, where anything can happen in 2 seconds. Do you find this valuable? |

Charlaine claims she never intended for readers to dislike Bill, and there's enough book readers who do still like him, but I think she's talking nonsense. Why the hell split them up in Book 3 in such a baffling and sudden way, why give him such a cow of a girlfriend to make Sookie jealous (Selah was a spiteful b*tch, honestly a nice guy wouldn't knock boots with someone like that) and then introduce the 'spying for the Queen' plotline in Book 6. A lot of writers just make it up as they go along and don't have a grand plan, but I cannot help thinking she just got bored with him and decided to turn him into a cad. As a reader, it was deeply disappointing to me and confusing and I was not satisfied at all by the ending of Dead and Gone. I have lost interest to be honest and dunno whether i'll bother with book 10. Bill and Sookie do not need to get back together, but some kind of proper redemption and explanation would be nice. Of course I don't want to see any of these crap plotlines in the show. If they must split, do it in a different way. I trust Alan Ball to do a better job. Do you find this valuable? |

"I cannot help thinking she just got bored with him and decided to turn him into a cad.Yeah I feel the same way about Harris loosing interest in Bill for like, almost all the books except the first two. Bill and Sookie's relationship has a major inherent conflict in it though, as he is immortal and she isn't. Of course there could be many ways to remedy that in the world of fantasy were anything is possible (esp. in Harris' books where she is always introducing new things and drawing few boundaries). Whether they live happily ever after or not doesn't really matter to me, though I do see their relationship as a central force in the story (or I think it should be, sometimes I get distracted with Sookie's 7 or so suitors) and would like to see that acknowledged in how the books wrap up. They are two pairs that make a whole! What else is there to say? That was evident in the first episode and as real life lovers! They belong together =)On a side note: If Allan Ball wants fans to keep watching True Blood, then he better think twice about Bill's role in the show!! Do you find this valuable? |

Sookie will never find a man (like Bill) whom she can be herself with, while Bill finds his true companion from Sookie.

"As I posted before, I'm an Eric fan, but I think Bill and Sookie should be together. I know that he approached her based on a lie, but he fell in love with her. IT'S HAPPENS! In the books he is always trying to win her back and protect her. On the series, he went thru a lot to protect her too. Bill is sensitive and more human than real humans. What can I say! I love the guy! I can't make comments base on my obsession with Eric, so I'm an objective fan... Love it or Hate it, is what I think."Yes, it happens. Many bad guys out there didn't kill or bertray his partner in the end because in the process of knowing her, he falls for her. I agree in the books, he always keep an eye on her (aside from the fact that it maybe the Queen's instruction) and kept getting her jealous by bringing his girlfriend to Merlottes. His even tearfully sorry to Sookie explaining his bertrayal act to her back in New Orleans. I hope CH remembers that and get them back together later in the series. I'm glad, though you're an Eric fan, you are objective in all these. :) Do you find this valuable? |

Their relationship shows significance in many chapters in the books. Bill is a central character in Sookie's life, as she puts it he is a boulder in hers, I hope CH whatever way she will end the series will at least return back to Sookie and Bill story. Bill's explanation to Sookie back in the apartment in New orleans after the big fight in the conference is not enough. Do you find this valuable? |

Those to are HOT HOT HOT together!! they make the tv sizzle. I think it would kill Bill to be without Sookie However, Sookie is young..and Bill Is her first lover....there is TONS of room for Sookie to 'play' i won't like it but its there...and Eric will make his move..its only a matter of time..thankfully right now Sookie isn't all the pleased with the blond hair devil who screams sex...*gives me more time to dream* as much as Sookie and Bill go together like biscuits and gravy...i have a feeling something will change and Sookie will get to try a few other men/vampires out..

I'm worried that SaveryOne is right and something will change. I just have to hope Alan Ball can bring us with him on the journey and "sell" that Sookie and Bill either are or aren't meant to be, because frankly, right now I'm utterly convinced that they are passionately, incredibly in love. I also watched Six Feet Under and sometimes AB lost me and it took me awhile to come back and care enough about the characers to finish out a season. I am far more endeared to these characters, so I hope he takes extra care with them.

SPOILER: Entertainment Weekly's new issue casts shines some light on the Eric/Sookie relationship. I don't think it's clear that Bill's out, but Eric will be a bigger deal in Season 3... I won't say more here but check out AB's comments.

I can't blame Sookie for being upset. Still, who knows what's to come in the last 4 novels. Do you find this valuable? |

But I really like seeing Stephen Moyer naked and fangy. Struggling to see the appeal of Alexander whatisname, but I think I'm the only woman on the planet that isn't losing her panties at the prospect.
