Thought about Lafayette:

Signs do point to him being unfortunately deceased. However, I have a good feeling we will still see him this season, through flashbacks and what not. We have to find out how he died, and considering this is TV and Alan Ball as a director, we will get video evidence not just someone talking about it. That being said, there's a lot of hope that Gran will be featured in some flashbacks, too.

Even Kutner was in the season finale of House (granted only for a minute)...

Saw the previews on HBO (they have 2 sneak peek videos now) and it looks soooo intense.
Alan Ball said that the season ended with someone dead in the car and that if u ask book readers they will tell you its Lafayette HOWEVER he did not confirm this ... He made it sound as if there is more ... I still speculate it is him as the painted toes and foot looked as if it was his but ... I am really hopeful it is not. Lafayette should be in every season of TB!!! I wonder if it was Lafayette and then they changed due to his popularity ... Hhhmmmm, I ponder ...

"Love triangles have been around for a very long time as a story telling device for a reason....they work. The major difference with the show is that if B/S breakup ,Bill won't drop off the radar like he did in the books since STephen is one of the stars. They'll keep him involved so that Sook has to deal with him on some level or we'll see him in other situations since we don't have to be limited by Sook's POV like in the books. "
I agree.

Plus, like Stephen said in an interview recently published on the Vault, you have to have the triangle to keep it interesting. Hence, just like Bill won't have smooth sailing with Sookie, neither will Eric have smooth sailing.

Eric will tempt Sookie while she's with Bill and Bill will tempt Sookie while she's with Eric. IMHO

You guys have the love triangle situation so right. I completely agree. I think that's how it's going to go down on the series. Sort of like in the books, I guess. Do you find this valuable?

right, I agree Bill won't disappear. They keep him around somehow...But I can't wait to see the twists and turns they put into the show especially the love triangles...OH my god how intense will those be in the show.

I am actually hoping that the love triangles in the show will be more intense than the ones in the book...and those were intense on the books.

"Yep...I agree, I think there is some history there between Sam & Maryann....I just hope that Sookie does NOT end up with Eric. Yeah, he is Hot, but I love Bill and Sookie together. The photos and promos hint to them hooking up, not cool! "
I Love Eric... I hope they bring that relationship out in this season.

"OMG you should read the books they are so addicting, but I love the show too. I hope it continues to be great as the first season was and not be much disappointment from the books."
I agree, I love the books so much i hope that don't change the show so much that I goes overboard.

I so agree with you too! I loved Lafayette. I felt he gave that certain something to the show. I was hoping he might have been made vampire. At least then he would still be around.

A fellow True Blood fan,
Barton

I just read an article written June 3rd, about how AB is going to change some things, and try to add other characters into the Sookie/Bill equatuion. But he going to for the most part stick fairly close to CH books. which means YAYE more Eric. Want proof? Well here you go!

the more intense most definitely is better, I think that is what made the books so good is the love triangles, and of course the sex!

"This is the one and only thread to discuss Episode 201. NO SPOILERS HERE - you can speculate, but actual show content is not to be discussed until it has actually aired. "
Hey guys, I love these boards but I've had to stop posting and reading b/c don't want any spoilers. I started reading this thread b/c the moderator said no spoilers and I'm dying for the new season and want to dish, but yet here they are little spoilers all over the place. Even telling us Sookie and Eric will be together by this season, or that it's so and so dead in the car, that's not speculating that's a spoiler. I LOVE this show and totally want to participate on these boards but I'm afriad to b/c I just know I'll see spoilers even on the threads that aren't supposed to have them. So if you've read the books and read spoilers about the season there are plenty of other threads where spoilers are welcome. Is that ok?
