"You guys listed most of my favorite movies How about 30 Days of Night? Scary! BloodRayne, what are the two movies one was with Julian Sands[he was the vamp] and Melissa Malono-?? How about Steven Kings, The Night Shift, or Salem's Lot [I like the one with Rob Lowe]. Blackula, Of course like I said the best you guys listed....any others???? I'd like to know to watch if I can find them at the video store..oh yeah The Hunger [I have not seen that one myself] :)="I can't believe you include Bloodrayne in this list. I mean Ben Kingley's "She has become one with the eye", line passed the entire thing over to camp. And any movie where Billy Zane is the best thing in it is questionable. I loved the video game and wished that they had stuck with that mythology with her fighting the Nazi's instead of completely taking the game and throwing it out. IMO Agree with you on most everything else. though Do you find this valuable? |

Catherine Deneuve as Miriam in The Hunger was the most aristocratic and beautiful vampire I can think of.

"Catherine Deneuve as Miriam in The Hunger was the most aristocratic and beautiful vampire I can think of."The hunger is almost not a vampire movie they way Tony Scott shot it. It seems too dream like. But I still love the movie. Do you find this valuable? |

There are so many great ones and, they each have their place in the timeline of my life. Sometimes "when" something speaks to you is as important as "how." That said, some of my favorites:Lestat, Louis and Gabrielle from the Interview with a Vampire books, but really only the first three and, definitely not as the movies had them. The Lost Boys was one of my favorite vampire movies for years, but that may have had something to do with my (still) unabated crush on Jason Patric. I absolutely adored the character of Marcus in the Blade television series. I think it was a completely underrated show. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that the vampire characters were infinitely more interesting than the hero. Buffy and Angel were (and still are) two of my all time favorite shows. Joss Whedon is a god. Some of the best writing that ever took place on television took place on those two shows. I enjoyed watching Moonlight very much, but unfortunately it did not last long enough to really win that big a place in my heart. As for other vampire movies . . . I agree with others about Innocent Blood. Wonderful comedic elements and I adore both Anne Parillaud and Anthony LaPaglia. I love Near Dark with Adrian Pasdar, Lance Henriksen and, Bill Paxton. IMOLet me claify, I Don't think Bloodrayne is one of the best movies, I was just listing vampire movies, Movies with vampires or about them....I had already stated before, that the best ones were already listed, and I was just making a "list" of them...some of these on here I have never seen, its kinda nice to just see what else there is....thanks. I just remembered another show Kindred it was awesome. They had all the clans represented kinda a mafia meets Dracula. What a shame the main character Mark Frankel (his real name) was killed in a motorcycle accident.

"Is that Forever Knight the series, or the movie with Rick Springfield. Most people forget about that one. Ep 1 of Forever Knight is a direct rip off from that tv movie.episode 1 (and 2) of Forever Knight was not a RIP-OFF of "Nick Night", it was a reshoot of the same film with a different cast (except for Schanke, which was the same actor in both) Nick Night was an attempt at a back-door pilot that did not get picked up.
