Favorite Movie and TV Vampires

Since TRUE BLOOD and recently TWILIGHT, vampires are "out of the coffin" and "in" style again.
Whats your all time favorite vampire movie or tv show; most memorable character?

Hi A!
TV: Dark Shadows - definitely! I used to rush home to see it; never missed. (Were there any other Vampire shows on TV at that time? I don't recall others.)

Serious Vampire Movies:
* Interview with the Vampire;
* Dracula (1938);
* Bram Stoker's Dracula (Gary Oldman; Keanu Reeves) - I really enjoyed this one, despite Reeves' wooden performance. I do like Reeves, though not in that film. Oldman turned in the best performance

Vampire Movie for fun - Love at First Bite

Not so good but creepy movies:
* Nosferatu - I have to say, it was creepy and did not evoke the Vampires that we know and love.
* The Horror of Vampires (John Malkovich) about the making of Nosferatu. It was too slow moving but the story line was interesting; certainly creepy and now I can see why Nosferatu was as well.

I am sorry, but I am not a big fan of Buffy the movie. The series was better, although I did not watch it much.
See you around the wiki!

I've seen a ridiculous number of vampire movies and shows. I've always been team vampire, since I was a kid and saw the original Dracula. Within a couple years of that I saw Fright Night and that scared me, but that was the same year I fell in love with David in The Lost Boys, so it balanced out. A couple years after that my Anne Rice phase began when I was about 11, so Interview was a big one. I also loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer, both the movie and the series...I love the Underworld movies...the first Blade movie, Dracula 2000, and even Queen of the Damned, which was a travesty as compared to the books, but Stuart Townsend.... oh my. I know there are probably several I'm missing, but I've always been a fan of the vampires, pretty or ugly, I dig them. Do you find this valuable?

My favorite female vampires are Anne Parillaud, who portrayed Marie in the movie Innocent Blood, and Natasha Gregson Wagner, who portrayed Nico in the movie Modern Vampires. While Frank Langella was a good Dracula, my favorite Dracula actor was Louis Jourdan, in the movie Count Dracula. Do you find this valuable?

I never saw MODERN VAMPIRES. I did like INNOCENT BLOOD for sure.
I was remiss, I also loved the LOST BOYS and DRACULA (Gary Oldman!)!
Also, I was a huge fan of the HAMMER STUDIO vampire movies of the 1960's..catch them whenever you can!!

If we're talking about the vampires themselves, and not necessarily the MOVIE, then I would say my favorite vamps are:

(not in any particular order)
Kiefer Sutherland as David - Lost Boys
Billy Wirth as Dwayne - Lost Boys (no lines in the movie but...woof!)
Vincent Perez as Marius - Queen of the Damned
James Marsters as Spike - Buffy the Vampire Slayer (who didn't love Spike?)

But, of course, my current favorites are ALL of the vampires on True Blood.

Favorite Vamps, that is a hard one, I love most of them. But I guess the one that started me off was Frank Langella in the 1979 version of Dracula. Gerard Butler in Dracula 2000 is another fav of mine, that man is sex. But I guess my fav before Bill came into my life was Spike from Buffy. That bad boy really curled my toes!!!!!!!!!!

Is that Forever Knight the series, or the movie with Rick Springfield. Most people forget about that one. Ep 1 of Forever Knight is a direct rip off from that tv movie.

I didn't know anything about the movie, but yes I was referring to the TV series. ;) I don't care if it was a rip off I still liked the TV series. ::shrugs:: Though I *adore* Rick Springfield too. ;)

I love horror movies in general, but my favorites are vampire movies. Love classic Christopher Lee vampire movies and the 80's ''Fright Night" (Chris Sarandon) and "Vamp"(Grace Jones was even more scary). Other vampires that I like are: ''Interview with the vampire"(Brad and Antonio were hot!), "Lost Boys"(Billy Wirth), Dracula 2000(Gerard Butler) and of course True Blood (Stephen Moyer and my love Alexander Skarsgard). I also like John Carpenter's "Vampires", "Innocent Blood" , ''Blade'' , Bram Stoker's "Dracula" and love ''From Dusk Till Dawn'' (George Clooney was hot). Do you find this valuable?
