"Actually, I just finished reading Club Dead again and Bill does confirm that he had been sleeping with Lorena. He withheld Sookie's name because he felt he owed her that much, since he had been planning on leaving her.

And, he didn't go out into the sun in the books, that was an AB added story line."
Book or show....I still think Bill is the one for her. Eric and Pam belong together in my opinion. But regardless of what I want, Charlaine and Alan are going to do what they feel is best for their characters.......I just hope in one genre they are together.

But why was Bill planning on leaving Sookie....I think he figured if he was out of her life then she would be safe from Lorena and everyone else. I really do think he was protecting her....that is how he shows his love. I don't think he was having sex with Lorena because he wanted her or because he loves her.....I think he did it again to keep Lorena satisfied so that she would leave Sookie alone. If he loved Lorena, he would not have wanted Sookie to at least be taken care of. He would have just thought, "eh, who cares, I got what I wanted from her". That is not Bill's way of thinking.

"Morgaine you might be right but I am telling you from people I know who watch the TV series seem to like BILL and Sookie alot better than Eric and Sookie I know people who actually only watch it becuase of BILL seriously I know what the books go forward iwht however even in the voting on the site BILL won by a large percentage so maybe AB will change some of the next steps to keep viewers :) LOL
I mean he hasnt kept to the books 100% so far"
You are right he hasnt kept to the book but the book is so much more adventurous and Bill was so decieving in so many ways that if you read the book you wouldnt feel the same about Bill. So is AB doesnt stick to the book then you might as well call this a whole new world that had nothing to do with the books at all that he just got a idea and is making his up as he goes along. Though I long to see what iam reading to see with my eyes cuase CH is got Sookie as one hell of a adventure in her life and things that not one season can even catch up to to give only watchers on TV understand the full world of which yhou all are so endulged with. There are so many rituals and laws that the show has you all in the dark of why things are the way they are. I only can hope that AB will show you all what CH has shown us in her books cuase its a royal treat to read her books and have you lost in another world that doesnt exsist but you wish would in some sort of sick twisted way. Ok I'll stop goin on about it cuase i can go on for hours how the show is slow and keeping you guys in the dark of what the book can do for you in a few chapters. Treat your self dont cheat your self read the books you will udnerstand what we feel once you do.

"I disagree.

*Major spoilers*

Eric has real feelings for Sookie, (and he's had them since before he lost his memory) which is not something he's used to and not something he wants to admit because he thinks it would make him weak. However, he fell for her on his own terms and has never really kept anything from her. He has also always treated her with respect and honor - even when saving his own hide in the process, he always looks for the best solution for HER too.

Bill, on the other hand, was sent to find Sookie and seduce her. He kept major things from her, which is not the way to have a relationship (even if he's ordered to keep his mouth shut, he could still have offered her more of a clue). He also left her cold for Lorena (and he has never denied this, either. And he's had plenty of time to set the record straight), and was going to arrange to pay Sookie off, as if that would make up for him not being around. He's raped or came very close to raping Sookie on a couple of occasions too. Despite the fact that he's continued to profess his love for Sookie, he hasn't really done anything to prove it.

BOOOYA you hit it right on the nose.....Eric is totally so much better for her then Bill thank you I couldnt put it any better bravo

" and was going to arrange to pay Sookie off, "
I have a creeping gut feeling - that while she was told that Bill set up provisions to have her looked after - and SHE TRANSLATED that to paid off - I think REALLY, Bill spilled the beans to Eric on why he was there in the first place - his mission by the Queens orders, so he could head his makers call,, and NOT be derelict in his duties to the queen.
Note - the Queen never punished him for going to Mississippi in the first place.
Albeit maybe she figured she was punished enough - or maybe its cause he did the "right thing" .

In which case - if I'm right, Eric has known since book 3 that Bill was ordered there, and had been holding that leverage until it suited HIM best to tell Sookie - not when Sookie could handle it best.

Why would we want AB to stick to the book. Then it would be boring. It would be well, I can either read the books or watch the show. Same difference. I read the books and LOVE Bill in the books as well. I will never falter from my belief that Eric is a self centered conniving little vamp who is solely out for lust and greed. I love that AB is taking her books and putting his genius twist on them. Obviously Charlaine likes it too or she would not have agreed to let him do it after she saw one of his screenplays for it. She likes that he is modifying her story and presenting sides of the charaters that she could not since her books were told in first person....with AB show, we get to truly KNOW the characters and become MORE involved which is why I think TONS of people like Bill.....we get a new light shed on him. But like I said, AB show or not, I still prefer Bill.

"i dont ever want it to be the end iam to much endulged in this I wish i was sookie kinda of scarey eeh but her life seem so eventful and all these lushious men ravageing at her feet she has her choice in such wild unknown sex my god every womans dream is to have adventure and men bellow at your feet. Or i guess iam just weird like that."
I agree with you Trazylady. But what are all these Supes attracted to??? So listen I just finished book 5 and it ends with Quinn asking her out. So are you guys telling me that Sookie doesn't have sex with either Bill or Eric ever again?????????? So Eric only made love to her when he lost his memory??? I know Bill would take her back in a heart beat if she would say the word. Through all the books so far it seems that Bill is always there somehow. I absolutely loved the shower scene with Eric but when Sookie was in the hospital and Bill stayed with her all night and layed with her. That was very touching and tender. I think if he didn't really love her he would not have done that. What about Sam? Does Sookie ever hook up with Sam? PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS, Thanks everyone and thanks for being just as obsessed with this show and books as I am. It is nice to have the company :o)

Haahah

No she hasn’t been with either of them again through 8 but she is with Quinn and Preston (read short stories!!)
Bill has been apologizing for 5 books now and does a really really good job of it in bk 8 but it doesn’t seem to change her mind
Here are some bill and Sookie moment from 8
http://lovingtruebloodindallas.blogspot.com/search/label/Book%208

I wrote about it “Adventures in Sookie sex “ here
http://lovingtruebloodindallas.blogspot.com/search/label/Sex
the bk#4 shower scene was too much for the blog-ha

No to sam they are never together – you have touched on a secret little area for me as far as bill is concerned with the hospital – I have a couple of places I think where bill shows some true colors –that were not for show , not coerced, not sexual, not because he HAD TO

Did I cover most of the questions , Kelley ???

"OK, I just want to add to my post above this that yes Bill did hurt her but I think those kind of circumstances have happened to the majority of us all.....where you or your friend/spouse/lover has done something wrong and they don't tell you because they don't want to hurt you....I don't mean cheat but something like what Bill did (a lie that snowballs and you just can't face it)...he was sent AS A VAMPIRE to get to know Sookie.....he fell in love with her as a man (albeit dead). Love has no boundaries which is what Charlaine and Alan Ball are showing....it has problems but it can survive. I think people do not like Bill because of the books....they see Eric (WHEN HE LOST HIS MEMORY) as funny, kind, and caring......that is NOT Eric. Eric is out for Eric Bill wants Sookie's heart."
I totally agree billshuman!!! I love how you put that. Bill wants Sookie's heart!! I think Eric provides a good fantasy. The Eric that lost his memory was more like Bill in that he was not all about Eric. But now that Eric is back to normal he only lusts after Sookie, I am not sure he loves her. Dont we all want to be loved like Bill loves Sookie and lusted after like Bill lusts after Sookie. I think Bill can do both. What does everyone else think?

"Also disagree but to each his own. Bill was summoned by Lorena and HAD to go. He never gave her name up to Lorena because he knew Lorena would kill her....I believe with my whole heart that he went to protect Sookie....he was not getting it on with Lorena. She was torturing him. That is so NOT cheating. As far as the rape....he had no idea it was Sookie in the trunk with him....we gotta remember, he is a vampire and was hungry. He stopped when he realized it was her. I think if Eric had to make a choice between power and Sookie, he would pick the power. Hasn't done anything to prove his love??????SERIOUSLY????? He went out in the sun for her..........I am pretty sure he wasn't thinking he needed to work on his tan!!! He was willing to give his life....sure a sheck sounds like a profession of love to me."
I am hoping that AB realizes that the Bill Sookie chemistry on TV is really powerful and he changes parts of the books to create his own vision of the CH stories. Lets see I mean is their anyone that believes that the on screen chemistry between Moyer and Paquin i not really strong and has given us some of the best moments to date on the show Just my opinion

"What would your question be? I'm just curious to see what everyone comes up with ^_^

Mine (as of today) would be:
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

If a human gets bit by a full were (be it Werewolf, Werepanther, etc...) and becomes sort of a hybrid of whatever the biter's shift is, what would happen if a human gets bit by a full-blooded shapeshifter, like Sam?"
Nothing happens, except it bleeds a bit, depending on whether it's a little dog bite or a big critter they've changed into. They are not a 'were'. They don't cause folks to change with their bites. Gosh, didn't you READ the books?

Um, yeah, several times. She never covered that.

She has confirmed that Shifters who turn into one specific animal can cause the half human transformation (such as with Jason in book 4-5), but she has never said anything about a true Shifter who can turn into anything. If I missed it, please quote it to me because I'm re-reading the series right now again, and haven't come across anything about it.

I have a dirty question but I can't help but wonder it during the sex scenes.

If vampires cry blood, what happens when they- you know- during sex?

**Will Andy and Portia (JERKS!!!!) ever find out that they are related to Bill and he gave them the money to fix their home? I HOPE SO...

**Will there ever be crosser over with Lily Bard Leeds and Sookie again? I HOPE!!! I think (for those of you that have read the story in Powers of Detection) Sookie needs to use her gift for a business, she could be good at it.

Anyone have comments?

1) What short story does Sookie meet Lili???
(clearly I have yet to read THAT one - there are so many, this is getting confusing...)

2) I think Sookie could be a P.I. of some sort too.

My question for CH would be.....Why hasn't Sookie soften for Bill a little, I mean don't get me wrong what he did was wrong, but he was acting on the Queens orders. At the same time Eric and Sookie are just HOTT together!! AND everytime Bill does show up, Sookie is kinda nasty to Bill. Bill is after all trying to redeem himself in her eyes.
