" IMO, if you didn't read the books, you really wouldn't understand why both were willing to die for the other. "Very true! I went to the movie with my sister, who had never read the books and there were a few things I had to explain to her. She went home and read the series and understands alot more. "Okay, True Blood is over for the next 6 months. I doubt if HBO will run continuously the repeats of all 12 episodes (gosh darn it), the 8 books by Charlaine Harris I have read and now have to wait until next year for Book 9. Have read the Twilight Series twice and seen the movie. Have read the Black Dagger Brotherhood books (those are great) by JR Ward. So does anyone have an idea on how to get a vampire or werewolf fix for the next 6 months?"I'm just finishing Laurel K Hamilton's Anita Blake series, they are very adult but a lot of fun, lots of humor, sex and violence. I have been a fan for years of the Anne Rice series but they can be pretty dark. I'm looking forward to reading JR Wards series after the holidays. Do you find this valuable? |

I don't know what city you are but if you have Cox Cable, channel 1, HBO on demand you can watch the True Blood episodes from beginning to end, you don't have to wait for them to air them.

I've been told that the Swedish movie Let the Right One In is way better than Twilight.

There are several listed but I didn't see 2 great authors that also have humor & sex, Lynday Sands and Katie MacAlister. Great Read. It will a long wait for True Blood to Return. Do you find this valuable? |

The Anita Blake series they are a little more violent and graphic then the Sookie books. I like that Anita doesn't feel like she has to take crap from anyone just cause she's a girl. But the series isn't as addicting as the Sookie books.

"Thanks for the info...after I finish reading the twilight books I will make sure I pick up the Anita Blake series. "I am having a hard time with New Moon....I know I know.....I had such high expectations of it too, now I find myself rereading sentences, falling asleep, I am in big trouble if I want to get to Eclipse anytime soon......plus my young ones are small and the master is well, he is what he is, ha ha ha!!!!! He looked at me the other day and was like, you are not done with that book yet? I just rolled my eyes. He laughed. Not as good as the other one huh, he says. It is not that, it is just different. That is all. Sorry, I had to vent a bit.......(as I pick up New Moon and continue...) AND...I do not like being up during the day!!!! Do you find this valuable? |

I hope it's not disappointing. "OOOH, I saw that too, I think it will be good, the other ones were great, so...we shall see..... :) Do you find this valuable? |

"Thanks for the info...after I finish reading the twilight books I will make sure I pick up the Anita Blake series. "I would suggest that you make sure you read the books in order (some people are careful about that, others aren't). I got mine from the library, and wasn't sure I'd like them, so I just grabbed the one Anita Blake book they had available. I started in the middle of the series and ended up reading (what some say was) the best book of the whole series first, so coming to the beginning is kind of boring. Guilty Pleasures was good, but The Laughing Corpse is kind of blah now that I've read some of the others... Do you find this valuable? |

About the Anita Blake series, I also started the series in the middle a few years ago and I really liked the one I read. So I decided to continue and I have to say that the series is very hit or miss for me. Some are very good and interesting. But some are too all over the place and get too involved with sex, which I don't always mind, but for some reason it gets uninteresting in those books. I think that Laurell K. Hamilton is a good writer, but she tries to put too much in her books. I read the first book she published called Nightseer and I thought it was hard to follow. In general the books are good.
