"As a moderator I get a lot of messages about your love for the show. Make your love public! Tell HBO why you love "True Blood" here."I have always loved HBO...I was addicted to Six Feet Under. I was horrified when Alan Ball's genius of a show was taken off the air. And then True Blood aired, and I was taken into the genius and talent of Ball once again. As a huge fan of the books, I can say that I am pleased at the differences in the series. I like being surprised from week to week by what Ball does to change it from the book. It emans I didn't ruin myself for the TV series. Thank you HBO for once again making a conscious decision by picking up True Blood. On a side note, I'm a huge Big Love fan so...please keep that one coming as well :) Do you find this valuable? |

True Blood is my "V". I can't get enough of it! I watch every airing of the current episode and I can't wait for the season marathon before the finale, because I know you are gonna air one. The show has evolved so well and I find myself wishing these people were real so I can to Bon Temp and meet them. I LOVE Tara and Sam, however damaged they may be individually, they are meant to be. There is a lot of work to be done on both of them but hell, who gets into a relationship all fixed and perfect? You get there in time and I would like to see them grow together and fall in love. Rutina and Sam have a great chemistry, whoever thought of putting them together is a genius. I would have never expected it, and that it would work SO well. Give us more of them in season 2, PLEASE! The choice of secondary characters is what makes the show so compelling. Alan Ball, thanks for a masterful piece of work and I look forward to the DVD filled with commentary and interviews with the cast (HINT, HINT). 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

HBO has a magic touch in producing the most creative and compelling shows! Some magic wand created "True Blood" when Alan Ball's brilliance met Charlaine Harris's Vampire stories! Then, abracadabra! Anna Paquin as Sookie! Stephen Moyer as Bill! -- Stop right there! Their relationship is hypnotic..Their love story draws me in like moth to flame! [herein my *Loud Audible Sigh!!*]Anna Paquin is the perfect Sookie: a delightful, wide-eyed innocent on the periphery between immaturity & experience that bloomed so fast she doesnt know how yet to handle it! Her natural beauty radiates. There can be no other Sookie! And I am totally glamoured by Bill! Stephen Moyer was not new to me; his previous role in the film "Restraint" gripped my attention like few actors can. With a family who grew up in the theater and are all in the "biz," we crave great acting. Steve Moyer has got it! Casting him as the conflicted vampire Bill, so rooted in 19th century customs and mores? Incandescent. There can be no other Bill! And "True Blood"'s score by Nathan Barr! His evocative "Hair Clip" is the muse that conjures every memory of first love's passion!! O, I melt! Alan Ball, heed the messengers! Don't break up this finely crafted human/vampire connection! The Eric fans are waiting for his emergence into the storyline.. but if you read through this wiki, most fans are eager for stronger narrative of the Bill and Sookie's affaire de couer! Goes without saying how the rest of the dynamic cast members - Ellis, Wesley, Trammell, Kwanten, Smith, et al. -- plus the superb casting of secondary actors who enliven “True Blood” -- have become family! The household fires up in anticipation of the next episode, and Sunday night has become sacred. No phone calls! No computers! No interruptions! 9:00 pm! Shush! Jace is setting the mood! 6 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

I spend nearly every waking hour on this site and I watch the show every day, so yeah, you could say I love True Blood, ha ha! The casting is amazing - Alexander Skarsgard, Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin, all of them - everyone is just as good as they can be. The seem to be living the parts instead of acting.

I've watched almost every series on HBO (Sex and the City, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Rome), but True Blood is by far my favorite. The actors are wonderful, especially Alex Skarsgard, and an hour isn't enough for us per week! We're anxiously looking forward to Season 2+? of the Sookie Stackhouse universe. Thank you for taking the chance to put this show on the air.=^..^= Do you find this valuable? |

I concur! I am hooked on True Blood more than any other HBO series. And HBO series are the best. I am/was a huge fan of Big Love,The Sopranos, Deadwood and lament the loss of Rome!!! Carnival and Six Feet Under, as well. True Blood is very special. Excellent casting, always. I SO look forward to Sunday nights at HBO... and there hasn't been one episode that I haven't seen at LEAST 3 times with On Demand!! And the music..... is wonderful. Thank you HBO, Alan Ball, Charlaine Harris and all the top notch acting!! Do you find this valuable? |

I love the show, too. I have some feedback for HBO and I'm hoping they'll pick it up off our site here. I read some criticism for True Blood in Newsweek recently. It was in an article about having Michelle Obama as our First Lady and was written by an African American woman. I believe it's the issue that I rec'd just before the election. The criticism was that the African American women on True Blood embody some of the worst stereotypes of black women and that she is very offended. You'd have to read the article to get the specifics. I think it'd be easy to change Tara's character and I wish HBO would do so. First, have her stop saying the F word in just about every sentence. She uses that word so much, it's beyond tasteless. It makes Tara look like someone who has a very limited vocabulary and it makes her look like a walking talking ball of emotion. Second, they could have Tara stop yelling so often. If I knew anyone who yelled that much, I wouldn't know them for long because I can't be around that much switched-on anger. Third, ease up on Tara's constant defensiveness. If she's defensive and that's her character, fine, let it ride but add in some other personality traits, like a sense of humor, philosophical ideas, etc. 2 out of 7 found this valuable. Do you? |

I love the unexpected humor and the repartee between the characters; it's fabulous. Also, I am enamoured by the way AB has expanded on the characters of Tara and Sam, and I wish that he'd give them a fighting chance together. All in all, it's a sexy bit of moving art, that has me captivated and lusting after more!

The show encompasses most of the themes that thrill and attract us: love, sex, violence, humor, vampires, hot gals and hunky men. What more could you want, except perhaps longer or more frequent episodes =)
