Which U.S. presidential candidate would Bill, Sookie, Jason, Tara, Eric, Lettie Mae, Sam, Terry, Arlene, Lafayette, Pam, Andy, Eddie or any other True Blood character vote for? Why?

(Assuming, that is, that vampires enjoyed the right to vote as most of us do.)

True Blood fans unite! PLEASE VOTE!

Ok....here is my input on this topic:
Lafayette- voting Obama because Mccain is against same-sex marriage

Tara- voting Obama because he is a person of color, and 'it's about damn time someone could represent her the way she could be. Enough of the repression poop'

Lettie Mae- If sober would probably vote for McCain because he is a good Christian.

Terry- He'd be backing McCain due to being in the armed services

Bill- He'd vote McCain due to the military and southern aspects

Jason- Vote...hell...he don't have no time to vote, nor the ambition to since he's bumped up on 'V'

Sookie- She'd vote for McCain due to his wanting to protect the country, being an older man with a lot of expierence.

Arlene- She'd vote Obama because she's been a single mother so many times, and he appeals to her needy side.

Pam- She'd vote for whomever Eric told her to vote for.

Eric- He'd see which candidate would be more beneficial to support, he'd probably go with Obama, feeling that Obama is a more open person.

Andy- He'd vote McCain as he is old-southern

Eddie- Would vote Obama because of gay rights and he'd think he was a gentle and handsome man.

Bill would never vote McCain, southern or not. Unless that is he decided to vote for another vampire... Bill is into equal rights and I don't see that coming from McCain's campaign. Bill would be Obama all the way. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I quite agree. While Bill is ... reserved... I dont think he'd be conservative in the Republican sense of it. I think he'd either vote Democrat for the equal rights push, or, if there was an independent vamp or vamp-supportive party, he'd go that way.

Jason probably isn't registered, but if he is, I'd bet he votes Dem because he's probably Union.

Sooks would more likely vote Democrat, I disagree w/ BCG. Either Dem or like... Green.

Pam would vote for McCain because she probably thinks Palin's hot.

Eric would vote for himself as a write-in. :\

That was the funniest thing I've read today and very true too. I voted already at 7 am this morning. I am not getting up on a soapbox but I hope everyone who is U.S. citizen, 18 and over, is registered to vote (which isn't possible but hey I can wish) is voting today.

I am working on the campaign at my county HQs and Obama HQs... VERY inspiring to talk to real people: made calls all day yesterday to North Carolina... Cautiously optimistic.

Of all the calls, I got only one nimrod who was voting McSame. She tried to challenge me "He has no experience. name something he's done... "
"Graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law... McSame 895th out of 899 at Annapolis -- dont forget, Lincoln served only one term as upstart Senator from Illinois!" She hung up on me.

One woman, I had a wrong spelling of her name, so we laughed as I corrected it, she told me she was Chief Judge Lilliam Pryor Williams, and she was great... very positive about NC, she'd been making calls all week, but had to get to bed, she's up at 4 AM, because she's the one who opens the polling place in her district, "and Honey, you best know Im gonna be making the first vote!"

Another was a slooooo speaking fellow who started out by saying "Ahm a registered republican..." Oh here it comes I thought "and ah voted Obama and ah got my whole family voting Obama, and ah've been talking it up to everyone ah know until ahm blue in the face... That woman. that woman. What, did he really think all of us are stoopid?" Love this man!

Another was a woman who sounded ancient, so I asked if she needed a ride to the polls, she didnt, her daughter was coming up to drive her, but she said she was 'course voting Obama, and then she paused and said "I never thought I'd live to see the day..."

Of the 100+ people I actually reached to speak to.. (answering machines, disconnecteds, wrong numbers) all but one said they had already voted early or were voting Obama.

Of course, the LaProv Poll isnt as reliable as some of the others... but as tired as I was, I came away feeling very encouraged... cautiously as the rest of us...

Another woman I talked to was Cubana, and said her family escaped Cuba in the 50s, now most of her family in Cuba, the elders are dead, but all she's ever wanted was to go back and visit the country of her childhood... When she heard Obama say he wanted to open the doors of discussion with Cuba, among other "enemies" that sealed it for her... she's got 7 sons and daughters in law, and cousins and "We're ALL voting Obama!" -- She said she may never again visit Cuba in her lifetime, but that the hope has been rekindled for the first time in years and "that's good enough." can you imagine?

Oh, we also talked briefly about Guantanamo Bay, which she finds repulsive, and she ranted "Do you know that prisoners cooperate with these crooks [interrogators] get Happy Meals from McDonald's?" She was sputtering... I had no idea there was a McDonald's --in Cuba??? its on the base...
Doesnt that figure, a military/McDonald's contract.

Our lawyers are leaders of the SETON HALL REPORTS to Congress... google that with quotes around the phrase -- What a horror... Bush flushed habeus corpus right down the terlet---

VOTE! Drive an elder! Make some calls It is a blast... & empowering!

Goodness! How you rock! =) Well, since you're an Obama supperter..here's one that should touch your heart. My brother, a conservative vatican1 supporting seminary student in Rome, Italy, walked to the American Embassy yesterday and put in his vote for Obama. I've spent the last 17 years of my life trying to convince my ultra catholic family that our religion has no place in the political process. After the last 8 years, it seems my little brother finally got it. Doesn't hurt that he's been living mostly in Canada and Italy for the last 3 years and seen how the rest of the world ciews us in the wake of the Bush admin... anyway... sorry so long...just thought it's be something you'd appreciate!

Oh, and i totally agree with Bill_Compton's_Grrrl... except Jason...

He's a union worker so he is totally registered to vote, I think when you join a union its part of the package...

I think Sookie will go wake up Jason and Amy, Amy will roll over and go back to sleep... Jason will look his usual unshowered unshaven steenky self, throw on the least smelly t-shirt, and go with Sookie,

He will feel like shite, beg Sookie to take him home, but she says "DO NOT think you will get out of voting, its your duty!"

He'll sweat and shake in line, reaches in his pocket, finds a half tab of V, and then calms down... He will see rainbows coming out of marching American flags..like the brooms in Disney's Fantasia... (not Eric's Fangtasia!) -- he will look all around to see vampires in line... Not only is today the Presidential election, but also the weak, but 1st step, referendum on passing the VRA!!
And suddenly he will envision poor Eddie strapped with silver to the chair... (a vision of Eddie, after all they are connected by ingesting his blood) weakly crying red tears "Jason, youre a good guy... let me go... at least let me vote... I promise I'll come back with you if you let me vooooooote..." fades -- Jason physically feels an electrical charge of guilt jolting him...

Sookie will see he is tripping, so she punches his arm, snaps him out of it for the moment they are at their booth He goes in intending to vote Obama, who SUPPORTS union workers unlike McSame.... but comes out unsure what he pressed "Sookie!!" he grins deliriously "Sparks were flying! the lights all over the screen!"
Sookie orders him to sit in an empty chair while she votes... OBAMA and YES to the early VRA referendum...
She comes out, Jason stands and hugs her "Sookie!!!" he says from LaLaLand, "No matter what, You are my favorite sister!! I love you! I can say that now!! [shouts to all the voters in the polling place, since turnout is awesome..] I LOVE THIS HERE GIRL WHO IS MY SISTER!!" -- then turns to Sookie, "LETS GO EAT Im starving!!!" Sookie shakes her head, but tells him "Jason, I love you too... We're all we've got!" She realizes his words come from the V-high he is one.... but thinks to herself, "V is surely like truth serum...." As they head to Merlottes for giant cheeseburgers and vanilla malt milkshakes, she turns to see Jason, snoring quietly in the passenger's side of her sunny yellow Gremlin... and sees Bill's face in her mind's eye... gives a loud audible sigh] and his handsome face, and the look in his cobalt blue eye, gives her hope they will be reunited soon...

You sound so much like the Obamafied that I've run into here in Mass.

I love your rationale - the guy's a quasi-intellectual and reads from a teleprompter so well.. of course he'll make a great leader of our country. Yikes !!!

Be honest with yourself. for just a minute -

The man's never had a real job, politics is all he knows.... being political is his only apparent skill. I know one thing, he sure does lie like a politician and, he sure knows how to serve up pie-in-the-ski to the good people of this country. You obviously crave a big-government, tax & spend, uber-liberal for your president. One who envisions the federal government as our provider of all things worthy. Well I don't... and I'm "real people.

So.... temper the bullshit about your man Obama... there are others here who are actually able to think for themselves.

LaProv you're awesome!!! Go NC. Beyond the Grave-I love your screen name but I have to say that as someone who works in politics at the local level in my community, (you can say I"m a community organizer even) and as someone who has worked in politics at the federal level for Congress in the past, that these are REAL jobs. And when Guiliani and Palin made derisive comments about people who worked in their communities and suggested that those folks didn't have real jobs as you just did they offended a lot of people-republicans and dems alike. If you don't like Obama that's fine, but don't suggest that people who work in their communities to better the lives of those who live around them don't have "real jobs" or real experience. Community organizing is actually excellent experience for someone who wants to learn how to get things done-and isn't that what we want in our elected officials?

Go LaProv and Go Maharet. And um even if Obama had lost, well I think Democrats getting 235 and 56 seats in the house and the Senate speak well for how much this country is ready for change.
