I like the Twilight book series too!
They are different as the Sookie books, but that is fine with me!
I'm looking forward to see the movie.
Robert Pattinson will make a great Edward!

I think Robert is going to make a killer 'Edward Cullen'. And I too can not wait for the movie to come out. Me and a friend anre going to meet my 2 cousin's in NYC to see the movie the day it opens.
Not only do I own the 'Twilight' series in book form, I also have 'Twilight' on cd, so I can listen in the car on long road trips.

I also have the audio books. Personally I think they were ok. Not as much intensity as I imagine the characters will bring to the big screen, but they served their purpose...LOL. They are actually having a movie ticket presale here in orlando on the 14th. Me and my sister are going to get our tickets a week early. It would have to basically be a natural disaster to keep me away from there on the 21st. I was devastated when I found out HP and THe Half Blood Prince was pushed back to 07/09, but then it was only a few weeks later I read Twilight and found out it basically took HP's place at the movies in November... Needless to say Ii am not that upset anymore. PS my sister just came over so she could watch Sundays ep 8 of TB... I live an hour away from her...what does that tell you??? Yes we are fangbangers...lol

"I started reading the Twilight books, and found CH in the process, and I immediately chose Sookie over Bella, but now I am rereading both series, and am really starting to love the world of Forks in addition to the world of Bon Temps. I guess there is room for both. But I'll still take Eric over any of the Cullens any day!

But the jury is still out on Breaking Dawn, I must think more on it. I'm starting to stop hating that book I think. "
I got Twilight Saturday as I had re-reread all my CH Sookie books for the 4th or 5th time and needed something new. I finished it that night. I went back out Sunday and got the other 4 books. I am now on Breaking Dawn and it is taking every ounce of my strength to NOT go back to my book and finish it tonight. Otherwise, what else will I read? I am a little disappointed, since I got used to the... ummm... graphic nature of CH's Bon Temps universe, but since Twilight was technically a "young adult" series, I made due with that wonderful tool of imagination.

Now, I'd feel a little creepy picking Edward (who looks 17, even if he's over 100) over Eric (definitely a full grown man), so i won't. Eric won my heart first and even if I'd like looking at Edward, it's Eric for me everytime too.

See I haven't read the CH series of books yet, I can only go by what I know of the show and since Erics influence hasn't been that great Im just not able to relate to him on the level I did Edward which kind of sux for me I guess. Edward's character was just so innocent and vulnerable, protective and charming and caring and loving. He just melted my heart especially with his ability to love which most people (writers or directors) they often take that ability from the characters. I think people (writers & directors) are slowly starting to realize we much more prefer the loveable vampires w/ a hint of bad boy to the Dracula type portrayed in the past...

*Possible Spoilers*

I also loved the Twilight series and pretty much counting the days till its on the big screen. I have read alot of forums where people feel that its not really a genre for young adults because of some of the actions and behaviors on Bella's part. Like her recklesness in New Moon, always trying to seduce Edward into sleeping with her before marriage, and then the whole getting pregnant and having a baby at 18. Just curious as to what others think about comments like that.

I think what Bella was doing is a reality that people her age are dealing with these days, and HELLO... they were not your average teenage couple ya know... I think the series was very tame for young adolescents to read. I wouldn't mind if at 15/16 it was something my daughter was reading. I think SM did a great job of keeping things low key. BEsides when BElla got pregnant, they were married already and although she did want to the fact is they didn't have sex until after they were married. I don't think there was anything wrong with the direction Breaking Dawn went in. Besides their own daughter was grown in a few years... I wonder iff there will be any procreation between her and Jacob after she is actually only 9 but still full grown...LOL

Okay, so I am really interested in this movie. I have not read the book series. I assume that since there's more than one book in the series, then maybe there will be more than on movie made? I'm the type of person that doesn't like to be left hanging in movies, and if I can help it. I like to watch sequels and trilogies together. Does anyone know whether this is a onetime only movie or is there talk of sequels or what? If it would be a spoiler then that's cool; PM me if you know. Thanks guys. Do you find this valuable?

They are going to do the other 3 books. They are actually going to be released in conjunction with the HP movies with a 6-8 month variance in between. Twilight is scheduled for release Nov 21 HP drops in July 09 with a second in Nov than New Moon will be released sometime late 09 early 10... Girl read the books. Although movies are great, these books are so captivating... You won't want to put it down... Let us know Team Edward or Jacob? Although I love Jacob Black ladys and my heart broke for him in a million pieces.... I am Team Edward cause Jacob don't sparkle... Blondes may have more fun but Edward Cullen prefers brunettes...

Just finished book 1 of Twilight... love love love it.... there is sooo much of Bella and Edward.... I finished Book 8 of the Stackhouse Series, and wanted more... So in waiting for 9, I picked up Twilight, and today I am going to buy Book 2.... I finished Twilight in 4 days.... I love both Bella and Sookie, both heroines in their own right, in different worlds... I felt Bella's longing for Edward, I felt excited like Bella when she was with Edward... I know the show is geared towards teens and I am also old enough to be Rob Pattinsons mom (well 15yrs older!).... but man, he is HOT!!! Can't wait to see him as Edward.

PS- whats up with all the English actors coming over here to burn up our screens (i.e. Stephen Moyer, Rob Pattinson) what? we don't have any sexy American men to play these roles??? Nevertheless, I am happy with both... just thought I would make a point!

I thought that the Twilight saga was great. You really can't compare them to the Sookie Series because the intended audience is so different. I actually liked New Moon, though it broke my heart. I thought that it showed a lot of character growth. I thought it was really cute when she figured out that Edward wasn't just protecting her virtue, but his own as well.

I really wish that she would reconsider and write Midnight Sun as well. The 12 chapters made it my favorite. I really thought it gave a unique perspective to tell the love story from Edwards point of view. I also loved getting an insight into the Cullens family. Plus it made me love Alice more.

New Moon was good however it wasn't Bella or Edward my heart broke for but Jacob. It really brought that character into a new light for me. I refused to read the 12 chapter teaser on the web for fear it would be too torturous when I wasn't able to go on. Do I wish she would reconsider , God yes! But I will make due with what I have for now.

I will have to say though Breaking Dawn was by far my absolute favorite of the entire Saga. The reason being is there were so many twists I was definately NOT expecting (don't worry I won't spoil it for everyone who hasn't read), but what got me the most was the #1 vastness of happy endings for several almost all the characters (Dear sweet Jacob), #2 it made you realize, this was all of their fate, especially Bella. This clutz we met in book 1 was ultimately the protector of all. She turned out to be the strongest. It truly was destiny. Ii couldn't have imagined the series ending any other way than the way Stephenie brought it all together and tied up the loose ends.

Trust me, Breaking Dawn will make you feel every emotion imaginably possible. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be happy and you will get scared shitless!

I believe I read somewhere that she was finished with the Twilight series, but I think she should write a spin off of Jacob and Renesmee. I think that would be an interesting series to watch her grow and hear more about the rest. I feel like she left Breaking Dawn open for more possibilities. I think if SM wanted to continue writing about them she could. I am hoping for more, like do the Volturi come back?

If the movies stick to the books, there will be no need for reading, just watching over and over and over cause Rob Pattison is gonna make Edward Cullen look 20x better than he sounds....Hold on let me catch my breath, Im gasping for air wishing this fiction was my reality...LOL Do you find this valuable?
