Team Bill vs. Team Eric

Ok, so what's the deal with Eric? I've only read the first book and half of the second and I don't get why everyone loves him so much. I like Bill better on the show than I did in the book. I'm on Team Bill. Also, Bill is way hotter than Eric on the show :)

Bill is sullen and cold, Eric is hot & is simply walking sex, but I have to say, you get further into the books, starting with the end of Book 2 and well into Books 3 & 4, the attraction to Eric becomes very apparent 20 out of 44 found this valuable. After the first episode, I went out and bought the whole series. The only down side is waiting for the shows to catch up with the books. I want season 4 NOW! "I agree... that why I saved the Fangtasia scene to my Ipod. I liked both to be quite hoenst but I really honestly have to say that Eric is wayyyy hotter on the show than Bill...although I really wouldn't mind bedding either one ;) They're both just so delicious looking...lol 9 out of 13 found this valuable. Team BILL here all the way! Bill is the whole package, Eric looks like a 15 boy with long hair to me, does nothing for me. I have seen pictures of him with short hair and I think he looks alot better and has more of a bad boy manish apeal that way.

Let's be honest they are both hot in their own way, and I can only judge from the series now so I'm on team Bill, I plan on reading the books but I also think the series might go in a different direction at some point. I shudder to think that Bill and Sookie wouldn't be together or end up togehter, that just doesn't seem right. And I couldn't imagine TB withought being able to watch Bill, sigh.... Those that are fans of the actor that playes Eric should check out Generation Kill, it was on HBO and might still be On Demand. He was fantastic in that series and shows you what a great actor he is. He plays a very different character, (obviously I guess). It's also just a very good mini series, different of course than TB, but very good.

I am trying to keep the books and series separate because they might go in a different direction. I already know a few points coming up that they differ. However, I am still so crushing on Eric from the books and I really hope that they expand the role in the series as well. Eric if sexy and funny and really interesting. Charlaine Harris said that he started out a minor character but he was so much fun to right that she expanded his character. I understand why. 7 out of 10 found this valuable. Do you? |

After the deception, the cheating, the rape (yes, there was 1), the rubbing other women in her face & you're REALLY still for Bill? Eric, even though he uses Sookie for her gift in Book 1, has done SO SO SO many things for her that Bill could have (& should have) done, but didn't: the driveway, helping Tara w/ Mickey, helping her deal w/ the Pelts after they kidnapped her & Quinn, saving her from Andre at the summit, saving her from the fake Were policeman, replacing her door & cell phone after the takeover...... As far as personality, bill doesn't have one. I've always seem him as stuffy and stiff & cold. Eric is firey, has (sort of) a sense of humor, can play with her without hurtingher... Eric is so WAY better than Bill. 27 out of 40 found this valuable. Do you? |

Put bluntly, he's a gigantic ass who doesn't seem to value what he has in Sookie until someone else is wanting her. He's just as bad as Sam in that respect. He had her and did his damdest to lose her. He and Eric team up from time to time to help her, but it's always Eric idea to help her in the first place (the attack at the end of book 3, replacing the broken window in Book 5, getting Sookie out alive from the ball in Book 6, the takeover in Book 8). Bill may still love her and be willing to die/kill for her and that's reall sweet & all, but I just think it's too little too late! 22 out of 30 found this valuable. Do you? |
