"Even if the book series doesn't end like this...I will always think of this as the way it should end.

"Ladies, thank you so much for reading and enjoying my "chapter." I so much want Sookie to realize that Bill truly loves her, and that all the bad things he did were things he had to do; I wanted her overblown pride to finally fall before his overwhelming love, so I HAD to write that chapter. If I had a lover who was that gorgeous, that accomplished, and that much in love with ME, I'd be willing to give him a second chance...

And I have no doubt that Charlaine will write a satisfying and astonishing new book---look at what she has created for us---and IN us---so far!

Here's a little reward for you tonight, in honor of the moment in Episode 6 when Bill throws open the doors to his house, strides onto his porch in those sculpted jeans, casts the night for Sookie's feet running to him, shuts his eyes, then opens them, and they glow luminous blue in the night, before he runs down the steps and across the lawn to sweep her up in his arms---who ARE these people who continue to doubt that he loves her, despite his initial idiotic thinking?!

"Gack and blarg! I just realized: Charlaine will have the new Sookie book out in May 2009, and she typically gives her fans the Christmas gift of a chapter. That will have a huge impact on my own feelings about the characters and hence, my own writing about them.
