"all the events from this season come from the first novel Dead Until Dark."Sorry: I could not find what this reply is in reference to, but I want to weigh in on a couple of points. First, as most of you know, Miss Melly's chapters are fan fiction using Charlaine Harris' characters as inspiration; they are not now and never will be turned into a book or TV show or movie---Miss Melly does not have any rights to these characters and would never betray Charlaine Harris' trust by attempting to make money from CH's wonderful work. (And Miss Melly could not afford the law suits!) Second, not all the show's events are in the first book, or in fact in any book at all; Alan Ball and the other writers have developed characters and their actions differently than in the books. Both the books and the show are fantastic IMHO, but they are different beasts in oh so many ways! For example, Tara is an IMMENSELY different character between books and show! And finally---not related to the quoted post, but to all who have written me privately: I love chatting with you about our favorites, Sookie and Bill. But I can't promise you specific scenes or interactions---these characters take on a life of their own and simply write themselves. I encourage all of you who have desires for these---or any characters---write your own fan fiction! This is the beauty of the fanfic process: we are able to make our own "story dreams" happen! I enjoyed writing that Bill and Sookie romance so much and it has been treat to share it with fellow Bill addicts. I have read this story a few times and I never left a comment. I just wanted to say how absolutely wonderful it is. There are so few fanfictions I end up loving and this was so beautiful and unique and satisfying I will come back to read again and again. You should be really proud. Hopefully me dragging this thread back up will get a few more newbies to read it as well. Thanks!

Over on fanfiction (dot) net, you will find my other two stories, which all relate as a trilogy. In the second one, called "Fairest of the Fae" Eric meets the love of his life (who is NOT Sookie!) and in the third one, called "Spilling the Charms," Bill and Sookie return to help Eric "seal the deal" with his love! There are also several outtakes lumped together under the title "Never Enough," a couple of them about Bill and Sookie---although they may not make a lot of sense without reading the whole trilogy. There are way more people writing Eric with Sookie than there are us Bill fans, but it is obvious that both Charlaine and Alan Ball have BIG soft spots for Bill! And so do I! Do you find this valuable? |
