ComicCon & True Blood Premiere
Sep 12 2008, 4:26 PM EDT | Post edited: Sep 12 2008, 4:26 PM EDT
Did anyone go to ComicCon and see the True Blood paraphenelia and/or see the stars? Also, I've been searching for True Blood premiere pictures (on the red carpet). Has anyone seen any?
Thanks. :)

yes, nynygurl:
you can go to www.anna-paquin.net and once you register with a user name, password you can bring up many pictures of Anna Paquin and many cast members from the premiere, of 09/04/08, as well from True Blood the show, itself.

Regards,
Glenn

I saw a video of the Premier on Youtube. The author had on dress you could kill for, all silvery shimmery white.
I watch those to look at the clothes mostly.
I love looking at formal attire and costumes both.

I went to the ComicCon panel, it was in a medium-large sized room that probably sat nearly 1,000 people, followed by a "Dexter" panel. All of the major stars were there: the actors who play Sookie, Bill, Sam, Jason, Tara, and Lafayette were all there on the panel, along with Alan Ball and Mrs. Harris (the author of the book series). The panel was about an hour long and they showed some preview footage and then did a Q&A.

They also gave out tickets to some members of the audience (me included) for a True Blood goody-sac with "Dead Until Dark" (the first book of the series), the first edition of the comic book, and a TrueBlood t-shirt.

HBO also sponsored the masquerade (as someone else here stated), but it was quite odd because every time the announcers thanked the sponsor, it sounded more like a phony ad for a "synthetic beverage" than an advertisement for the show itself. I think this advertising ploy might have confused people not following the show.

Okay, ladies, don't hate me but I have the HBO VAMPIRE KIT they gave out at ComicCon, and a fully autographed ComicCon "True Blood" comic book coming my way!!!

My daughter lives in Glendale, and being an animator at Dreamworks, she LIVES comics, anime, animation, cartoons, fantasy, et al. So she got them for me...

I am quivering to get them!!!

I can only imagine how the TrueBlood crowds will be at the 2009 ComicCon, because the room that we were in was pretty well filled and I believe that was with many people, like myself, who had yet to read the books. With the growing fanaticism of the members on these online boards and the tons of women who now worship Bill (after observing the handsome Stephen Moyer portray him on the show) I wouldn't be surprised if there was a live sacrifice at next years Con. LOL! Do you find this valuable?
