40. One more thing...

Notice that LR always gets all the good clothes? Bill spent all of episode 4 dressed like a delivery man (seriously, does everyone on set hate him?) and Eric has that ridiculous hair and cheap 90s vibe. Sookie looks like the Talbot's version of Jessica Simpson - I don't intend that to be mean, I just don't get it. Her personality on the show seems like it would dress less girly.

LR actually looks like himself, like his clothes match his personality (even in his retarded gold pants).

My bf even likes his character...sed he would love to party with him...haha im sure not implying him dancing up on him...lol...but ye, would LOVE to party with LR! agreed aswell upon the sookie comment...as much as i like her whole country vibe...thought she would be more tom-boyish....not in string bikini tops all the time, especially if she aint looking to get BANGED!

LR is a mix of hilarity and danger . Him talking Jason into trying more V,typical drug dealer ....sorry . He's ambitious I'll give him that and when he took his earrings off to go confront those yahoo's over the hamburger...I started yelling at the screen "he's going to open a can of whoopass on you !" Bill better not find out he's dealing V. Bad things could happen .

I like him because he is who he is, no apology no hiding. I do think the dealing V is pretty bad, so is dealing any drugs. He is a flawed character, but on that even from the first episode I knew I was going to love him. When he took off his earrings I started laughing because I knew he was going to go out there and make a scene. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Not to say anything about the actor, because he's gorgeous and doing a fine job, but the character has certainly gone all the way down hill, maybe to make it easier for us all when he's gone. It's one thing to sell drugs to folk who want them, it's another to purposely get them addicted. Tara was upset at his giving Jason V in the first place because, as she put it, he knew Jason couldn't handle it. Obviously he paid her no heed, and proceeded to draw Jason into his net. Jason is a scumbag, and I for one wish he were the one leaving in the first book; but Lafayette's cousin loves (or at least puppy loves) him. Do her feelings mean nothing to him? No, of course not. Other people's feelings mean nothing to a drug dealer. No, cuteness doesn't cover that flaw. I think they made him so endearing that they had to show his despicable side to get us ready to tell him good by.

Besides that, he would have been out on his ass if he pulled that crap in Sam's bar. Sam's all for turning the other cheek and giving the public what they want in his establishment. If the Lafayette we all know and love valued his job, he'd take care of those idiots outside of work. The scene was a hoot, but did not fit the theme line of the story.

Well, Lafayette IS a drug dealer. He has ulterior motives. Number one being money and customers. To romanticize that would likely be disappointing.

But, remember, Lafayette ALSO takes V. He is addicted himself, he just has a constant supply and gets wholesale rates. He kinda had that "free loving hippie" feel when he was telling Jason about the "good" effects of V. He has had an experience, and he wants to share it with others. Like, it'll totally open your mind, maaaaan.

I saw a trailer for a movie called "The Soloist" this weekend. The actor who portrays Lafayette has a role in it, along with Robert Downey, Jr. and Jamie Foxx. Hopefully, this is a sign of bigger roles to come for him.

This was in response to THIS:

We really need to be able to edit our posts. This is first BBoard I've been on that hasn't included that ability.

Lafayette became my hero. When the earrings came off I thought ohhh..But what I really thought was significant was he made a huge statement about what he is really about. Yes indeed as one of the posts said he is flawed but real. As I watched the scene I thought to myself, kick their redneck butts..and that he did.. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Lafayette is one of my Fav's!!!!! I think they are keeping the show real in allot of aspects. A good balance for fiction vs. Non Fiction. There are drug dealers in many places, especially in small towns.. i think that they are keeping it real..sex drugs and murder go hand in hand when it comes to drama and makes for a good mystery story! Keep doing your thing lafayette!!!! So Sassy and I love it!!! haha i was cracking up last night when he took those earings off and let those homophobic jerks have it lol . "ALL YOU GOTTA SAY IS HOLD THE AIDS" LOL THEN LICKS THE BUN AND THROWS IT..PRICELESS. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

LOVED Lafayette kicking some redneck ass lastnight. Don't talk trash about him or his cooking!!! I also loved when Tara was throwing things at him and he took it in stride swinging the baseball bat and hitting them right back at her . 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Yes! He is a GREAT ACTOR and he steals any shot he is in. I hope they do not kill off his character. He is one of the few characters that is MUCH BETTER in the show than the book. Save Lafayette! Save Lafayette! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
