"I really love how Eric spoils her rotten. The best is when he calls her "my lover". That makes me giggle every time."
I know,I grinned like the Cheshire cat when ever I saw that "lover" text.
Anyways, did you notice in her first dream sequence when she was in
bed with Eric and Lorena played her conscious he called her "lover". I
grinned even harder from that, because it was more than just the imagination.

Cher is a southern term of affection. It comes from the French, and is very common in New Orleans and Louisiana. Think, 'Mon cher. or remember the song, My Cherie amour. Do you find this valuable?

"If Charlaine Harris, the author of the books, is happy with how Alan Ball has envisioned the stories on the small screen I think that says it all.

Personally, I think that Alan has taken the series in a very good direction thus far and the books are awesome. Definitely read them!"
Charlaine harris would never say anything negative about the tv series. It is her business. We do not know how she feels about it.

Yes, carry on, read the books too...they are fun and give an added dimension to watching the show. Both are fun if you just experience them for what they are...entertainment. As for Sookie and Bill, well, throw Eric in the mix and the book will make you appreciate that part of the story line in the show more. Do you find this valuable?

CH loves it so much that she will have a small cameo appaearance in the Season 2 finale on Sept 13th. Rumor has it that Alan Ball will also put in a small appearance.

that is not negative. that is a 90% positive response. If she were to criticize TB it would look like tabloid-negativity and it would be inappropriate. I do not want her to criticize the show, but I would never presume to know what she really thinks.

"I have just finished reading "Club Dead" So I am now getting into the 'what and the whys' of why Bill betrayed Sookie. My advice would be to "READ ON"!! Except I have hit a little snag in my SVS reading. Like I said above I have just finished "Club Dead", so I went to Barnes and Noble AND Books-A-Million only to find out that neither of them had the 4th book!!!!! AHHHHHHH, so now I am off to Amazon to order them!! Did I mention that "I HATE WAITING!!!!!"
"
your local library probably has them.

After purchasing all of the books of the series and read them 8 times, I bought a Kindle and loaded them all onto it. Now I can take all the books with me and read them anywhere....I LOVE BOOK 4. I just finished it AGAIN. Eric makes me swoon! My other favorite book is All Together Dead. I love that 2nd! No the TV series is not like the books but the best part is you get two different stories for each book read and the TV show. These books are so much BETTER than the twilight series by far!

Happy Labor Day Fangbangers!!!!!

I read theentire series as it has comeout and have just gone back last week and started reading them again. It's interesting to note the differences between the books and TV show. I think in many instances the writing on the show is better and I like how they have extended manyn characters storylines. My only complaint is the development of Eric. He is much more likeable in the books and you see more of the things he does for Sookie. I dont' know how Alan Ball is planning on developing Eric for season 3 but he better do something to make the audience and Sookie like him more!

By the way, if you haven't heard of Swaptree you should check it out. Instead of buying books I just trade them online. The web site matches up people who want to trade and you can printout the mailing labels and postage from there. You only pay media mail shipping which is very cheap. Check it out! it's at www.swaptree.com

Yea, like a lot of people I agree with you greengoddess1.. I don't understand why allen ball took out so many of Eric's "nice things" and made him so much darker. He claims to follow the books and he has to know the development of Eric through the books and how important he is.. It is frustrating how mean he makes him... It is going to be hard to really develop him into who he really is... and he is crazy important in the third book!!! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
