I just started the Harper Connelly series and see it's kind of obliquely referred to in one of the SVS books when Sookie? and someone find the dead girl. I know it must have been the SVS series because there's too much supernatural stuff for it to have been Lily Bard and there's a scene in a Wal-Mart which I know couldn't have occurred in any other author I've read. Anyone know what I'm referring to and from what book? 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

So I watched the first episode last week and I totally got obsessed. After the second on Sunday I decided I had to buy the books. I bought four of them last night and am almost done with the first one, only 50 more pages to go! Haha I'm a pretty avid reader, i usually only buy books that are over 350 pages because i read so fast they are just over too soon. Don't worry I have a job, and an actual life just read really quickly. Anyways, totally love the books, obviously it sucks that now I know exactly what will happen since i believe the series is basically starting by following the first book verbatim, but i'm happy to see it unfold on TV as I continue reading! What's great about reading them is you don't really have to wait until next week! I am a huge fan of The Witching Hour books as well. What is this twlight series people are talking about? I'm afraid I will be done with these soon, is that series worth reading as well?!

"I have just finished reading "Club Dead" So I am now getting into the 'what and the whys' of why Bill betrayed Sookie. My advice would be to "READ ON"!! Except I have hit a little snag in my SVS reading. Like I said above I have just finished "Club Dead", so I went to Barnes and Noble AND Books-A-Million only to find out that neither of them had the 4th book!!!!! AHHHHHHH, so now I am off to Amazon to order them!! Did I mention that "I HATE WAITING!!!!!"
"
Charlaine Harris seems to be a big supporter of libraries, so I don't feel I'm detracting from her revenue by saying, "Don't wait for the 4th book, go to the library and get it." It's good to own the books, because you're going to want to pass them around, but if you become as addicted to them as I and have to read them as soon as possible, in most cities the library has them all. Go hog wild!

Read some of the Twilight thread. I appear to be one of the few who thinks the series is total crap. There are many other series that have been recommended that seem good: Mary Jane Davidson's undead series, Tate Hallaway, Laurel Hamilton's early Anita Blake vampire hunter series, Suzy Charnas Vampire Tapestry, don't waste your time on self hating female characters when you can find more strong ones like Sookie.

What actions? please tell me you won't ruin it for me. Why do they fall apart? and does Sookie fall for someone else? Does Bill die or does he go on being a vampire forever?....
I hate to see cute couples fall apart....

What do you mean when you say he was in a bad situation and had to do what he had to do to protect himself?... was he trying to hide when he met Sookie? 1  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Ah, but this show is not just like the books. Neither can really spoil the other since they are different realities. It is just more to love to have both. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

What happens between Bill and Sookie and why...now why would anyone give that away? That seems to be the main reason many people read the books or watch the show. Enjoy the ride. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

If you really want to know the whole story of Bill and Sookie you may just have to read the books. I just finished book one and will start book two tonight.

Can someone just tell me what book the “incident” happens in?

There are many "incidents". Which one are you referring to? If you are referring to Sookies insight of what Bill is about its in Book 3, but the real killing blow is in book six. Do you find this valuable?

I seriously hope people don't give this away. I've seen way too many spoilers already and it makes me sad for the people watching who haven't read the books. If reading is difficult, you should see if you can get them on CD or audio download. It's totally worth it!

There are audiobooks that you can download, rent and buy. It's just like having someone read you the story. You get all the facts without having to do all the work. Try http://www.netlibrary.com

So you know how bill shows sookie he can levitate fairly early in during the first book? I am curious about why they have not shown that yet. I feel like they could have put it in a couple of times now, like when they have been walking through the cemetary. Or exactly when it happened in the book since they did most of that scene anyways, just an interesting note i guess...on to book 3!

Bill showed Sookie that he could levitate on their first walk around the yard in book 1. The grandmother was still alive. Do you find this valuable?

I think it would have been difficult to film and perhaps this was why it wasn't added.

I'd like to see how they adapt to Eric's being able to fly in future episodes.

"I've read them all a while ago with the exception of the most recent 'Dead to worse' and I have mixed feelings on Bill during the series of books I started to hate him but in the last couple of books I understand him better, you always have a spot in your heart for your first true love. Besides there are other characters to love even more like Eric my fav."
You said it - even though Bill is a great character... i found myself more drawn to Eric... can't wait to see him on HBO...

Could be a spoiler! spoiler spoiler spoiler

I agree! And I really feel for Sookie. She finally is able to be beautiful and desired and she doesnt know how to handle all this attention. I really like Quinn and Eric. I think she is a little hard on Bill and now that i have read all the books, i think those feelings have only been reinforced. I was so bugged at Bill for a while though, but now i just want him to be happy...(although I dont want him to be with anyone else) uh I am so torn. However I am no longer a fan of Alcide.

Eric is so damn precious with her

DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS...KIND OF A SPOILER

One of the best things about the series is how Sookie's character grows into such a strong person. At the beginning she was unsure of herself and her capabilities, but basically after Bill she really takes the reigns on her own life. She becomes much more confident in herself and I think it was necessary for her to separate herself from Bill because he was so damn possessive of her. That's also why I think Eric is perfect for Sookie cause he doesn't see her as some fragile piece of glass. Plus I just can't help it, I looove Eric!!!

I really love how Eric spoils her rotten. The best is when he calls her "my lover". That makes me giggle every time. 6  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?
