I saw a vampire!
"I have been hearing a great deal about the Stephanie Meyers series....Twilight...Which should I read first, ANne Rice or the Meyers? I ususally avoid the books because they ruin the movies...but I am really torn, since TrueBlood. Should I read the TB series? let me know" Twilight is the tween version of a Vampire story...but it is still a very great and interesting story. Just not with all the sex. Still, whatever you are looking for is there. That struggle between vampire and human...Anne Rice is always a win in my eyes...but like you posted earlier...life is only but a personal belief, prefference, and choice. And well put I may add. What beautiful gifts to be given. I have not read the True Blood series..too many books to read LOL! I like the show.....I am sure which ever you will choose, it will be the right one for you....Happy reading! If you decide Twilight, remember there is a movie coming out very soon....

It seems more like a brother-sister thing between Eric and Sookie. She's had Jason as an older human brother, and now she's found an older vampire brother....albeit 100s of times smarter than the human one.

The Vampire Diaries - new vamp show starts in Sept
Since this is on CW Network (and though I'm not from the USA), this new show seems to be in a much different lines of teenage angst, loving and fluffy stuff, as the overall shows on CW are. They keep coming up with new ways to put "Gossip Girl" and "90210", this time on a "vampirish" angle.
It will definitely have a much different tone from the dark, gloomy, graphic, mature and adult nature of True Blood.
According to IMDB, the tagline is "Love Sucks" (pun intended?) and the synopsis is "About a high school girl torn between two vampire brothers.".
Much different cup of tea, although maybe still watchable for completely different reasons.
