All Seven SVS Books Now On NYT Bestseller List
Ladies and Gentlemen we now have the answer as to WHY an author will sell the movie rights to her/his books. All seven paperback versions of La Dame Harris' Sookie Stackhouse (aka SVS) books have reappeared on the New York Times Bestseller List for Paperback Fiction.
CHECK IT OUT: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/12/books/bestseller/bestpapermassfiction.html?_r=1&oref=slogin
#4 - Dead Until Dark #8 - Living Dead in Dallas #11 - Club Dead #13 - Dead To The World #17 - Dead As A Doornail #19 - Definitely Dead #20 - All Together Dead
So, not only are they in the Top 100 - they are (All SEVEN) in the Top 20. Go Charlaine! You ROCK!
Also, this may answer the question as to why some of them may now be hard to find. LOL!

TWILIGHT
Although I am loving True Blood every Sunday, I also was very much into the Twilight Saga and am eagerly anticipating the movie release November 21. I thought it was great the way they strayed away from the traditional vampire mythology. For instance them not being able to go out in the sunlight because it will kill them. Instead they can't do it cause the glitter and it would attract to much attention for mortals. I would like to get anyone else's feedback on this series...

Sam & Sookie
"Yep,you're absolutely right Sam Trammell is the perfect "Sam Merlotte",when i read the book i didn't imagine Sam other then a blond handsome guy as he is in the show.He really is was the perfect choice!!!!! So right:is like he walked out of the page and into the show! See you around!" Hi! I just though I'd come by and see what is up! How are you? It's rainy & hazy here... Perfect weather to stay inside and watch some True Blood or read some Sookie novels, right?
Well, I was over on the Speculations thread earlier, wading through the issues they were cooking up, and found an interesting post, which I responded to... because it was about Sam, of course... It posed the idea that Sam could have a "turn" with Pam!! Yes, go ahead, laugh with me! LMAO! No way SAM would be with a VAMP! But it lead me to thinking about another issue we could discuss here -- the issues that Sam has with vampires, and why he is so opposed to Sookie's relationship with Bill. He 's never kept it a secret, and each and every time he is forced to deal with the issue, or sees Sookie and Bill together, it's like someone sent fingernails down a chalkboard, his whole body seems to tense up. So any ideas why Sam is so anti-vampire, beside the usual tension between the two races? Is it only jealousy, because Sam could not bring himself to tell or show Sookie how he felt, before Bill came into her life? When Sookie was going to Fangtasia with Bill, to try to find out about who killed Dawn and Maudette, he told her "Vampires only think about one thing: drinking... your... blood." Is that true? Bill seems to want to have a romantic relationship with Sookie & protect her. Is that only for the Queen's edict? Just thought I'd thrown some ideas out, and see if anyone wanted to tackle them! Have fun, and I'll check back later!

To Read or Not to Read?
I know Charlaine has many fans but I am a new one. I haven't yet read her books and am debating whether or not to read Dead Until Dark before or after I watch True Blood. I know books tend to be so much more than anything on screen can ever hope to be but I don't want to judge True Blood too harshly. I do plan on reading as many as Charlaine's books as possible, but am not sure when.
But how exciting is this!?!?! An adult vampire TV series! Way cool.
