"I agree that that was Bill's motive in lying to her . He was afraid of Lorena , he knew his Maker wouldn't hesitate to kill Sookie and putting Sook in harms way goes against everything he's about , but there again , it should have been obvious to him that Sook was going to go look for him anyway. Better she walks in with her eyes open than blindfolded you know?

I dont' know , its hard to say since we still don't know the full story on the circumstances behind Bill leaving to begin with and why he gave that "8 weeks" time frame. So many unanswered questions.

I agree. Why did he put such a time frame on a visit to "Seattle"? It was a poorly constructed lie and she knew it. Sometime people so blindly in love dont want to see the bad in the ones they love. Besides, later on in the story, Eric tells Bill he almost lost everything by taking up with Lorena again. So that made me think that his visit wasnt a command from Lor- but something he may have initiated. There was no way to verify a threat from Lor-since she was dead.
Seriously, why cant see read or get a flash from Bill's mind? Was there a block placed on him prior to going to Bon Temps by the Queen?

Actually Sookie has the very same thoughts at one point in the books. *very naughty thoughts come to my mind too*
