STATEMENT / FACT / ARGUMENT
FOR VAMPS (AMERICAN VAMPIRE LEAGUE)
AGAINST VAMPS (FELLOWSHIP OF THE SUN)
Vampires want to take over the world. Vampires used to be people too. Depending on their age, they still have an attachment to very human emotions and memories.

Vampires do live by some different rules, but they also live by many of the same rules/values that living humans do. I wonder why FOtS members believe vampires are so immoral. And, if the threat that vampires have the ability and desire to take over the world is real, why this has not yet happened? The facts just do not match what the FOtS fears is so.

Who writes the books? "Humans" who willing title their works "Fiction." Each book differs as much as its authors views.

There are probably millions of regular humans that want to take over the world too.
Vampires live by completely different rules than humans do. They are immoral and have the power and strength to take over -- even in small numbers.

Vamps are for Vamps, Humans should be on the side of other humans. Read the books and see how vamps view humans. Vamps are inherently immoral because they do not operate from a moral code, think of law not as something to protect minorities against the will of the majority but only in terms of retaining possessions - wealth and blood dolls, do not possess souls, and worst of all, would all probably vote for the Libertarian Party.
Vampires have the power and strength to take over -- even in small numbers. If this were true, why didn't they take over long ago?
If they were running things, how is it you have an opinion, and why are you being tolerated?

What would be the point for or benefit from "taking over" that would even amount to a worthy gain?
If vampires are in control, why are they suffering and having to hide themselves from the cruelty of man?
Who's to say they're not already running things, just from behind the scenes? They have the money, time and powers to be completely incognito.
Vampires can live without human blood by drinking Tru Blood.
Humans no longer need to fear Vampires now that they have a healthy, safe synthetic alternative.

Then why haven't they?

True Blood is to vamps what tofu is to humans. Yeah it'll keep you alive but it's just not the real thing. If a vamp had enough synthetic blood to satisfy their nutritional needs, there would be no predictable risk of hungry vamps attacking humans.
An alternative is just that, and there's nothing stopping vampires from slaughtering humans to get their fill of their main source of unsavory sustenance.
Vampires and humans can coexist.
Well. Thus far, vampires and humans have coexisted for a very long time...since the first vampires (and I do not know when this was).....So, yes. Vampires and living humans have and can coexist. It is a fact and not a "for" or "against" situation.

"Nothing more than a treat?" and yet they remain, ever still, and ever more, forever on!
Technically speaking, vampires and humans had to coexist: humans are both food and posterity for vampires. However, posterity is overrated when you live forever and with the invention of "true blood," humans are looking like nothing more than a threat.
Vampires *want* to live peacefully among society.
It is not the vampires trying to fulfil their needs for "wealth, power, ...lust." It is not vampires who so coldly seek after such things, but people who are consumed by greed, and lack the ability to care.

Well put!
Laughable PR campaign barely conceals true agenda...more wealth, power, fulfilling their lust
Vampires will always be the minority.
This is and always will be true, the old reason was if we made everyone a vampire we would starve, now with the invention of Tru Blood we don't even need to feed off humans so there will be no increase of vampires. This blood alternative has taken away the only incentive not to turn everyone. If they can't get what they want politically in a minority vote, why wouldn't they seek to change it into a majority vote by eliminating their opposition by force by either killing them or turning them into a vampire?
If the time comes, humans have the manpower and strength to destroy vampires.
If vampires became too much of a threat to human life, all humans would have to do would be to visit nests and sleeping grounds during the daytime and eradicate them.
Vampires hid for centuries until the advent of Tru Blood. They are adepts at avoiding discovery. There's no guarantee that elimination strikes in daylight hours would fully exterminate vampire existence.
Vampirism is a virus.
No one is sure of the origins of vampirism. Surely, however, vampirism is more closely related to such natural phenomena as a virus or some other pathogen, rather than any supernatural occurrence. It is true that vampires suffer from rare forms of anemia and photo-sensitivity, and at the same time other physical characteristics may be enhanced, much in the same way that someone who is blind experiences an enhanced state of hearing. The bottom line is that vampires are intelligent and rational beings, who were once human in the traditional sense, and are still very much alive and deserve to enjoy the same freedoms and opportunities as everyone else.
Vampirism is not a virus. It's a preternatural evil that you can't catch like you can a cold or the flu. Their bodies are confirmed dead. How the corpses animate themselves is unnatural and supernatural. There is absolutely no evidence of any viral strain, or we'd be pumping all of our funds into an anti-virus.
When did vampires first appear?
As long as humans have been around, so have vampires. In a weird way, they feed off of each other; you can not have one with out the other.

It is all a matter of balance. Nothing can exist without its opposite and its equal. There must always be the weaker and the stronger, otherwise the order of things would fall apart.
If the bees die, so does everything above them. If even a single kind of predator dies, its main food source will over populate, and kill its self from the environment's inability to sustain it.
What a silly comment. Humans do not feed off vamps and you can have humans without vamps. it is not a symbiotic relationship but a parasitic one.
Humanity has ALWAYS been looking for the key to Eternal Life - they just didn't know it went bump in the night. Vampires started human, and retain their heart and memories as well as their life (after death.) Provided they are not attacked, staked, or exposed to the sun, vampires live forever, a goal man has striven and sought for many a century.

All things created are creatures of God, and if He deems vampires worthy of living in the world that He created, then they are only natural.
Eternal life is to be sought in Heaven, not on Earth by paying blood-sacrifice and watching the undead walk amongst us. Unnatural evil is not the way to eternal life that man was seeking.
Vampires are blood thirsty killers who will stop at nothing to gain access to the human race. Not all vampires are 'blood thirsty killers.' What about mortal serial killers such as Jeffrey Dahmer or Hannibal Lecter? Modern technology has made it possible to interact with humans, regain our humanity, and live in harmony. Whatever happened to the famous feeling of Segregation Never...integration now?

What about the "humans" who are blood thirsty killers? Evil cannot be denied or hide its self except among fools who will not believe.
If they used any means necessary, why are "humans" in charge of the wold and not helpless slaves by now? If Hitler, ONE SINGLE MAN, can control a nation and people, then why cannot an uprising of vampires and all who are loyal to them?
Evil has always disguised itself in beauty. These abnormal, amoral animals are a blight to mankind, and a blemish in the face of all which is holy.
They will use any means necessary, be it seduction, force or deceit, to get what they want: killing for human blood.
Vampires taking over the world is pointless, meaningless, and unproductive. Why cause harm when you do not wish it? If it was even a remotely common desire, it would be so.
Vampires would take over the world if it weren't for organizations like the Fots to keep them in line and let them know that they are being watched.
There are blacks, whites, asians, and vampires. We are all humans per definition. As such, we ARE all the same; because we are ALL different.
Are yu confused? Vampires are not human and cannot be counted as part of the "we."
Vampires are individuals who think, feel, and have free will just as anybody else. Not everyone chooses to do wrong or be "evil." Therefore, not all vampires are bad either. Just as there are those whites, blacks, and Asians who give all of their own a bad reputation, there are also bad vampires. However, we cannot take away our God given free will from anyone!
Vampires are bad, soul less creatures who will take down anyone who gets in their way.

Vampires are just like humans they had no choice in becoming what they are.

True. Humans were forced into being human and vampires were forced to be vamps. And if vampires are considered "mythical"-"magical"-or "mystical" how come humans aren't? We all come from the same place and how do we don't know that humans aren't "magical"?

My friend is obsessed with All Time Low...this is just to show how stupid the Fellowship is so yeah...AVL wins.

Vampires are evil. They are spawns of Satan and thrive on using their power and control over humans. True Blood does not satisfy their hunger and they will always seek humans to feast upon.
Satan has nothing to do with Vampires for a swift start. Satan is a religious belief, Vampirism is not a religion nor something you can CHOOSE to be. True Blood is a suppliment, yes there will be evil ones, but like humans, the majority are friendly social beings who long acceptance. Humans eat meat, yet they have rights, Vegitarians aren't fighting against meat eaters because thet are evil. Lions eat humans when desperate, lets take away their rights of life while we are at it too eh?

Vampires hunger for blood, sex, and power.
There is also another being that fits into this description; men. Men still have rights and they have power to give or take life at will too.

Vampires are lonely, they are just looking for somewhere to belong and for people who will accept them as they are.
Vampires ARE lonely, because people like The Fellowship discriminate them wrongly. Not allowing Vampires to have rights is as bad as Sexcism and even Racism. Loneliness is forced upon Vampires through narrow-minded people such as The Fellowship Of The Sun.

No one should date a vampire. I mean you can't just have great sex with them, they have to bite you and start bleeding you dry and heaven help you if they get mad at you about something. If you make them mad enough you're toast.

Vampires have long been victimized by society. They can't get fair housing, no one wants them in their neighborhoods. They start moving in and people start moving out. We have to look out for their rights and do what's right by giving them equal rights.

Vampires are getting out of control and we should be able to put a V on their foreheads so everyone knows who they are. They try to conceal themselves so they can get unsuspecting victims to eat. It must end. They have to go.

Vampires cry blood. Why?

FOS is a great organization that will benefit all of us by ensuring we all remain safe from vampires.

Ok, I read the first book and the series is taking a much more political turn than originally portrayed. The introduction of Tara as Sookie's best friend since kindergarten brings the racial aspect front and center. We've already seen Tara confront Bill about his father owning slaves. There's a caste system among the vampires that may include keeping human slaves. Is that only sexual, as in dominance and submission, or is that political?

Can the Vampire hierarchy co-exist with human legal or governmental institutions?

There also appears to be more extreme conflict between vamps and humans, with the death of the minister after he refuses to speak to the AVL representative on TV, with Jason and Bill squaring off over Sookie, with Sam (yeah, I know, but still) talking about a vampire hunter to get rid of Bill Compton, and one of the previews seems to show that there will be Vampires at the Descendants of the Glorious Dead speech where they seem to be threatening Bill for talking about vampires to humans. We've also got the Lafayette character, that could address some issues like gay rights, too. It could get really intense in some interesting directions that weren't included in the books.

Any thoughts?
