He became known asVlad Ţepeş("Vlad the Impaler"), and asKazıklı Voyvoda("the Impaling Prince") by the Turks. He lived and reigned intermittently as theVoivodeofWallachiauntil his death in 1476, at the age of 45.When he became the voivode of Wallachia, he launched a war on the Turks which devastated both sides. Eventually, his troops were defeated, his people killed (many by his own hands), and his homeland set ablaze. Vlad himself was to be executed. Before he was beheaded, he drank of the blood from the battlefield and became a true vampire. Accepting the powers of darkness, the cross he had always carried with him shattered.Centuries later, in 1893,Abraham Van Helsingstakes him in the heart, but not destroyed. It is unknown if he was forced into servitude or if he was willing. | MINI BIO: Armand was born Andrei in late 15th century Kiev. His father was a hunter who disapproved of his son's sensitivity and skill as an icon painter for the monks of the Orthodox Church. He was captured and sold into slavery in Constantinople, where he was purchased by Marius Romanus, an ancient vampire who took him to Venice. In Venice, Armand lived as a beloved "kept boy" until he was mortally wounded in a sword fight by one of his lovers, Lord Harlech. In order to save Armand, Marius imparted the Dark Gift to Armand, and the two lived in happiness until "The Children of Darkness," a vampiric Satanic cult, attacked Marius' home. Armand was spared and taught the laws of the cult, though he was not a believer, and later he moved to Paris where he founded his own coven and the infamous Theatre des Vampires. It was here that Armand met Lestat, and then later Louis and Claudia. He and the cult executed Claudia for her supposed crime against her maker, Lestat, and for being an anomaly, an abomination in the vampire world. He became lovers with Louis for quite some time, hoping that Louis could educate him about the Age of Enlightenment, but they later parted rather amicably. The reason I ask is simply this, I enjoy reading about Famous Vamps through History and legend etc.....
However, Before I put my own Vamp Profile (on page 3) I made sure I had as much info as possible......Research, dates , Pictures etc. I have found lately ( and It is Just a few) that it seems people are just "filling in" space with limited info, No Pictures, No Mini Bio's to add points to there own profile...... Am I the only one who finds this a bit odd, not to mention annoying ?? I mean really, If your going to make or start something........don't do it half ass....that's all. Cheers
