At a boardwalk concert, Michael is fascinated by a beautiful young woman. After following her along the boardwalk, he sees her getting on a motorcycle with David, the leader of the local gang. The following night he finds the young woman again and learns her name is Star. As they are about to leave together on Michael's motorcycle, David reappears and provokes Michael into following him and his cadre. | MINI BIO: 1575: Age 15, Erzebeth married Count Ferenc (pronounced FAIR-entz) Nadasdy (NAW-dawzhd with silent y). The Count was 26 years of age. The count took Erzebeth's surname so that she could keep her name. They lived together in Castle Cséjthe. While her husband was away Erzebeth's manservant Thorko introduced her to the occult. 1600: At age 51, Count Ferenc died in battle and thus began Erzebeth's period of atrocities. Erzebeth, now 40 years old, grew increasingly vain and she feared the thought of aging as she may lose her beauty. One day a servant girl accidentially pulled her hair while combing it. Erzebeth slapped the girl's hand so hard she drew blood. The girls blood fell into Erzebeth's hand and she immediately thought that her skin took on the freshness of her young maid. She believed that she had found the secret of eternal youth. Erzebeth had her major-domo and Thorko strip the maid and then cut her and drain her blood into a huge vat. Erzebeth bathed in it to beautify her entire body. | ||
| FATE: One of her intended victims escaped and told the authorities about what was happening at Castle Cachtice. King Mátyás (MAHT-yash) of Hungary ordered Erzebeth's own cousin, Count György (pronounced DYERD-yuh) Thurzo, governor of the province to raid the castle. On December 30, 1610 they raided the castle and they were horrified by the terrible sights. One dead girl in the main room, drained of blood and another alive whose body had been pierced with holes. In the dungeon they discoverd several living girls, some of whose bodies had been pierced several times. Below the castle, they exhumed the bodies of some 50 girls.1611: A trial was held at Bitcse. Erzebeth, who refused to plead either guilty or innocent, and never appeared in the trial.. At this trial Johannes Ujvary, major-domo, testified that about 37 unmarried girls has been killed, six of whom he had personally recruited to work at the castle. The trial revealed that most of the girls were tortured for weeks or even months. They were cut with scissors, pricked with pins, even prodded with burning irons and short spikes, in a cage hung from the ceiling to provide Bathory with a "blood shower". Sometimes the two witches tortured these girls, or the Countess did it herself. Erzebeth's old nurse testified that about 40 girls had been tortured and killed. In fact, Erzebeth killed 612 women -- and in her diary, she documented their deaths. A complete transcript of the trial was made at the time and it survices today in Hungary. Of the people involved in these killings, all but Countess Bathory and the two witches were beheaded and cremated. Due to her nobility, Erzebeth was not allowed by law to be executed. The two accomplices had their fingers torn out and were burned alive. The court never convicted Countess Erzebeth of any crime, however she was put under house arrest. She was sentenced to life imprisonment in her torture chamber and stonemasons were brought to wall up the windows and doors of the small room with the Countess inside. They left a small hole through which food could be passed. Solitary confinement for life. Late in August of the year 1614 one of the Countess's jailers wanted to get a good look at her, since she was still reputedly one of the most beautiful women in Hungary. Peeking through the small aperture in her walled-up cell, he saw her lying face down on the floor. Countess Erzebeth Bathory was dead. "unrepentant of her crimes." | | |

| VAMPIRE NAME: Caine | Cain and Abel - Titian | |||||||||||||
| SIGNATURE LOOK: Likely able to change appearance, unknown beyond his origin in Middle East or Africa. | ||||||||||||||
| MOTIVATIONS: Cloudy at best. | ||||||||||||||
| POWERS: Caine's capacities are usually described as being outside the ability of the Storyteller system to model. Given that he is two generations beyond the power of the Antediluvians, it is reasonable to assume that he has completely mastered all Disciplines potentially to a greater degree than 3rd generation and may possess the ability to create new Disciplines on the fly. Basically, whatever Caine wants to do, Caine can do. He also most likely has a massive blood point and burn ratio and high levels in nearly all attributes Almost anything else about Caine's attributes follows the Biblical description: if Caine is harmed, the damage is returned sevenfold. In addition, Caine is marked with a sign of God's displeasure. One V:tM rulebook has an entry on "Rules for Fighting Caine", which consists entirely of "You lose." | VULNERABILITIES: Likely suffers the effects of vampiric weaknesses, but cannot be killed. | |||||||||||||

| PORTRAYED BY (or should be): Michael Caine (Ha Ha) | ||||||||||||||
| RELATED WORKS:V:TM and all related roleplaying materials/novels. | ||||||||||||||
| MINI BIO: (from wikipedia) In Vampire: The Masquerade, Caine is the father of all vampires. He is the Biblical Cain, although the final 'E' is always added when referring to the Vampire. Until the formation of the Camarilla, most vampires refered to themselves as "cainites" in recognition of their origin.
Caine's HistoryThe bulk of Caine's history is covered in the Book of Nod and an alternate telling, the Erciyes Fragments, as well as the Lilithian Revelations of the Dark Mother and the Luciferian Days of Fire. These books conflict on Caine's motives, but all agree he killed his brother Abel. Days of Fire describes how Caine gave himself a "gift," and the gift was delusion. Using this gift, he thought he killed Abel in an act of love when it was really an act of hate. He used this gift to make pride out of shame, and was expelled from Eden. According to Demon: The Fallen, the concept of murder didn't even exist up until that point. It wasn't that no one had thought of it, it was simply impossible because murder, as a concept, wasn't part of reality. When Caine murdered Abel, it sent a ripple throughout reality and suddenly the war between Angels and Demons became a much bloodier affair, and ended in the actual deaths of many on both sides.NodAfter killing his brother Abel, Caine was punished by God to wander in the lands of Nod, east of Eden. While wandering there, Caine encountered Lilith, his father Adam's first wife. From Lilith he learned the basics of the Disciplines. Caine was then visited by four Angels, agents of God who offered him the chance to repent for Abel's murder. Caine rejected each angel in turn, only to be cursed for each rejection: weakness to fire, vulnerability to sunlight, thirst for blood and constant betrayal.EnochCaine abandoned Lilith and continued to wander for some unspecified period of time until he came to the city of Enoch, founded by descendants of his brother Seth (all kine are descended from Seth). Caine seduced the city's king, also named Enoch, converting him into his first childe. Some sources say that the city here called Enoch (City)was actually called Ubar and the second generation vampire Enoch (Second Generation) simply taught his descendants that the city was called Enoch. Vampire: The Masquerade: Clanbook Toreador (VTM) (Revised Edition) pg. 14For centuries Caine ruled Enoch as its king and god, demanding worship and sacrifice from its population. He embraced Irad and Zillah at this time, creating the Second Generation of vampires. His childer in turn embraced others, the Antediluvians. Eventually Enoch grew in power and wickedness until God struck the city down, sending the Great Flood to wipe out all living creatures on earth. Enoch, Irad and Zillah were not the only three vampires that Caine embraced. before Caine embraced Enoch he had embraced two others who's names are unknown. a couple who were very much in love, in the hope that enabling their love to live for all eternity would pardon his sins. But when the lovers discovered that they could not have children together after having been embraced they both, in an act of despair, walked into the sunlight and to their final death. Caine was so heartbroken over the event that he forbade anyone to speak their names and vowed never to embrace another, even though within one human generation of time he had already embraced enoch. Post-EnochCaine disappears from the narrative after Enoch. Apocryphally, he appeared in the Second City and cursed his descendants with the characteristic weaknesses of each clan, however he has never appeared in a verifiable form.GehennaNoddist mythology claims that Caine will return at the end of time to judge his descendants, the Antediluvians and all vampires descended from them. This will be the end of Gehenna and the vampiric race in all likelihood. The Sabbat's epithet, The Sword Of Caine, refers to their belief that they will aid Caine in striking down the Antediluvians when Gehenna comes.Alternative InterpretationsThe Camarilla denies the existence of Caine, and modern Kindred are generally skeptical of Noddist mythology. The Gangrel scholar Beckett is particularly known for interpreting Caine mythology as a conflict between farmer and hunter tribes.Geneology
Game MaterialCanon AppearancesCaine figures in one scenario in Gehenna, where he is explicitly targeted and drawn out by Lilith for vengeance. In that scenario the Biblical curse does apply, and Lilith prepares a victim to strike the killing blow on Caine and then get squashed by the ineffable thumb of God. Caine is mentioned in passing in two other scenarios and presumed dead in the remaining one. Caine also appears in the Gehenna novel, in a general positive interpretation under an assumed name. This Caine travels with Beckett while witnessing the end of vampiric civilization.InterpretationsCommon interpretations of Caine are:

| MINI BIO: Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia called "Vlad the Impaler"; also known as Vlad Dracula or simply Dracula, in Romanian Drăculea; 1431 – December 1476), was a Wallachian (southern Romania) military leader. His three reigns were in 1448, 1456–1462, and 1476. Vlad the Impaler is known for the exceedingly cruel punishments he imposed during his reign. Vlad III is best known for inspiring the name of the vampire in Ottoman Empire and a defender of Wallachia against Ottoman expansionism. Called Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), due to his preferred method of torture and execution. Impaling was done by thrusting the nude body of the victim/criminal onto a sharpened tree trunk, starting at the groin area (between the legs), and then allowing the weight of the body to continue the punishment via gravity. Death was certainly not immediate! Impaling was done in the front courtyard, to set an example for would-be criminals. | ||
| FATE: Death and beheading, though it is not certain by who. Rumors abound that either treachery within his own people, assassination, or death in a battle with the Ottomans. | RELATED WORKS: The Tenderness of the Wolves (Die Zärtlichkeit der Wölfe) was released in Germany in 1973 M is a 1931 German drama-thriller directed by Fritz Lang | ||
| MINI BIO: From 1919 to 1924, Haarmann committed at least 24 murders. Haarmann's victims were young male vagrants and male prostitutes who hung around railway stations, whom Haarmann would lure back to his apartment and then kill by biting through their throats while sodomizing them. Rumours had it that Haarmann would then peddle meat from the bodies of his victims as black market pork, but there was no evidence. His accomplice and live-in partner, Hans Grans, sold the clothing of his victims, and Haarmann claimed Grans urged him to kill handsome boys, but was otherwise not involved in the murders. Haarmann was eventually apprehended when numerous skeletal remains, which he had dumped into the river Leine, washed up. His trial was very spectacular; it was one of the first major media events in Germany. There were no concepts or expressions for his crimes; he was called a "werewolf", a "vampire", and a "sexual psychopath" at the same time. But apart from the cruelty of what Haarmann had admittedly done, even more scandalous — shaking German society at the very core — was the involvement of the police in the case: Haarmann informed on thieves and dealers. He had also been used as an informant by the police who failed to identify Haarmann as the murderer. | ||
| FATE: Haarmann was found guilty and beheaded with a guillotine. Grans was initially found guilty of inticement to murder in a single case of 24 deaths concerned and also sentenced to death. The discovery of a letter from Haarmann declaring Grans's innocence later led to a second trial and the sentence of 12 years of prison. After serving this sentence, Grans continued to live in Hannover until his death around the year 1980. The case stirred much discussion in Germany about the death penalty, the correct approach towards mentally ill offenders, police investigation methods, and homosexuality. | October 25, 1879 – April 15, 1925 | |
