I noticed this the first time I watched this scene... in this old house with all this outdated furniture and decor, behind the book that Bill is reading is a very modern radio that he is listening to. I found that funny and a play on the "vampire in a modern world" theme.

 In "Strange Love", after Sookie rescued Bill from Rattrays (Drainers) and drag him near the tree, a dog came over barked at Bill and and licked Sookie. When Sookie said "He must live nearby" Bill replied " no, doubt". This only means that the dog is Sam.

Sam also asked Sookie in "First Taste" if it is true that she can't hear the vampire's thoughts at all. Sookie never told this to anybody so it's confirmed that Sam is the dog whom Bill saw while they went out for a walk.

 The girl on the 'Blind Date' show that's playing in episode 1 when Jason is "going down" on Maudette is actually Maudette. Is it a turn on for her to watch herself on TV?

When Bill retorts does anyone notice a slight English accent? All in all, I think Stephen Moyer does a great job at the Louisiana accent but I thought his little slip up was cute.

 Reference to the Queen and Eric... when Bill and Malcolm are arguing, Bill threatens to report him to higher authorities (since Malcolm is Bill's elder and outranks him) and Malcolm says, "I'm not afraid of Eric," and "SHE can come talk to me, then." Only book readers would know at this point who Eric and "She" are.

 In episode 1 the opening scene the the Cadillac Escalade locks up the brakes
skids. In most situations, if you have anti-lock brakes, you can simply press the brake pedal firmly towards the floor, and the computer controlled system should prevent the tires from "locking up" or skidding.

Why is it that Sookie can read the Ratrays mind when they are going to Attack Bill, But, Does "read" that they are going to come back and do the same to her when she rescues Bill?

Did anyone notice that just maybe Sam knows Bill? Remember in the 1st episode when Bill was sitting down. Sookie said he was the 1st vampire at the bar. She said nobody noticed. Bill said,"he does!" And when he looks at Sam, Sam nods at him as f he was giving approval. I found that a little strange. Also, I believe that Sam is some what of a guardian for her or for some one of a higher rank. Just so you all know..I hate reading so I have not read the books..So! Shame on me.. But Now I want to know,but I don't want to wreck it for me.
