MY BIO
Carthage and the Brujah:
Troile, successor to the clan, dreamed of a world in which the human and Cainites had at least an understanding. Even then, he thought that genuine peace was too much to ask. Troile took his sire's title and position as head of the Clan. He assumed the burden of Caine's curse, but also worked towards his own vision of a better world. His passion seemed to spread like wildfire through the line of his childer, and at first he rejoiced in their crusading zeal as they worked to make the world a better place. In the city of Carthage, Troile and his childer worked to establish what he had dreamed of in earlier times: a society in which mortals and Cainites coexisted for their mutual benefit. But again and again he saw those of his clan start to repeat his mistakes and give in to their anger. In despair, he left the city and was never seen again. Carthage fell far from that ideal, until even some of the demon-worshipping vampires were welcomed within its walls. Soon, the other clans acted under the guidance of Roman vampires to destroy this abomination of a city. And thus, the battle of Carthage as we know it, occurred. Some of the Brujah that wanted peace fled to Prague to attempt to recreate the utopia.
Prague and the end of an Era:
In Prague, both the Brujah and Gangrel worked together to help recreate what they had lost in Carthage. Development of the utopia was going slowly, but was working. Sadly though, almost all of the other vampire clans absolutely hated this ideology. The first millenium was filled with conflict between the Brujah-Gangrel Alliance and the other vampire clans. To complicate matters further, the Church launched the crusades, and soon after, the Inquisition, both which were partially aimed at eliminating the Kindred from the human world. I was sired near the end of this conflict. To help fight, two of the strongest vampires of the time, Ecaterina and Odin, joined forces to sire hybrid vampires. Our job was to turn the tide of the war. Sadly, the five of use weren't sired soon enough to win the war. I was imprisoned within the remains of one of the castles, where I remained until the 19th century. After the fall of Prague, the Brujah changed from being warrior philosophers, to street thugs and hired muscle.
Anarchy versus the Masquerade:
I re-awoke in 1813 to find that more than just the Brujah had changed. The entirety of vampire society had changed. To resist the vampire hunting of the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition, a vampire political machine called the Camarilla was created. The Camarilla enforced multiple rules by establishing domains similar to kingdoms around the major cities. These rules required that any vampire that wished to embrace a human, would have to get permission first, as well as mandating that all Kindred had to hide themselves from mankind. These rules, along with several others were enforced with a death penalty. Some vampires resisted the Camarilla and formed a rival group called the Sabbat. To combat the Camarilla and to take over as much territory as possible, the Sabbat embraced anyone and everyone, and then sent them straight into battle. In the early 20th century, a group of vampires from the Camarilla that were fed up with Beaurocracy and Politics splintered off to form a group called the Anarchs. The Anarchs believe that vampires should govern themselves, however most are still disgusted by the Sabbat. I readily joined the Anarchs and we've slowly been converting territory after territory, starting from California and moving Eastward. I strongly supported the Masquerade, but didn't approve of its enforcement.
Lying in wait:
Within the last couple of years, as the Camarilla realized it was losing power, it reaccepted all vampires under its rule, and nullified the Masquerade. Domains ruled by powerful vampires still exist, but they only exist to enforce order between the clans. I lie in wait, waiting for the day when I am powerful enough to help fight to reinstate the Masquerade because I don't think that Kine and Kindred are ready to live with one another in harmony. Ultimately, I'd like to see us live together, but I still don't think either group is ready to deal with one another.
CLAN INFO
Clan Brujah
Clan Gangrel
In the modern setting, the Brujah are characterized mostly as anarchists. Brujah childer conduct their political conventions amongst the noise of raves and punk rock concerts. In comparison to other vampires, the Brujah are especially violent. The Brujah are warriors -- but always warriors for a cause. The fierce heat of passion burns within their cold, dead breasts and it drives them to champion causes that they believe can set the world right. Each member of the clan has her own vision of the way the world should be, and he strives to make that vision become a reality through argument, manipulation and force of arms.
The Gangrel clan's magical Discipline, Protean, allows them to assume partial or complete animal forms. Their mastery of Protean is so much greater than any other Clan that Gangrel can assume virtually any animal form, providing it is a scavenger or a predator. Other vampires with the Protean Discipline are limited to the forms of Wolf and Bat; no one (not even the Gangrel) know why this is so. The Gangrel, despite living in the wilderness, are attacked much less often by werewolves than other vampiresl some speculate that the werewolves and Gangrel have a shared origin.
What is your stance on Gehenna?
Do you believe that the Antediluvians exist and when/if they awaken, will they cause Gehenna? I do believe that the Antediluvians exist, contrary to the propaganda of the Camarilla. However, I don't think that all of the Antediluvians are deadset on causing Gehenna.
Are we in the end days? While thin bloods do exist, and Kindred have stopped following the Masquerade, I do not not feel as though Gehenna is upon us.
What are your views on the World of Darkness?
What is your general opinion of vampires? I think that the Camarilla are smart to have the Masquerade, but are foolish for trying to enforce it. The Sabbat are idiots that will be the cause of either Gehenna or the next Crusade. The days of Carthage, when kindred and kine lived together is so far away, but will never leave my thoughts. If only a place like Carthage could be revived.
Do you have any prejudices against vampires? The Camarilla drive me mad with thier constant attempts to control me. The Sabbat and thier foolish embracing of all kine will be the end of us all.
Do you believe in any other supernatural creatures? Of course, you haven't seen them yet? Watch out for werewolves. They generally leave us, Gangrels, alone, but better to be cautious than to suffer a final death.
Are you afraid of vampire hunters? It's difficult to find a vampire hunter that truly is a challenge. The main thing to watch out for is a surprise attack when you are vulnerable. The truly deadly hunters have true faith. (MUST SEE :P)
Got any words for the fledglings out there? I certainly do have some advice for the fledglings out there.
