True Blood Season 3 Spoiler News: Alan Ball Reveals a Little Fresh Blood October 27, 2009 by Janet McIntosh
As we all know Alan Ball has done a phenomenal job creating the hit show we all love and adore, True Blood. Alan continues to win over the hearts of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite) audiences as well. Alan recently spoke to Lesley Goldberg from Advocate.com about how he will be staying true to the source material, Charlaine Harris’Sookie Stackhouse novels, and why gay audiences are so attracted to his work. He even gave out some spoiler information and discusses about some new gay characters that will be joining True Blood in season 3. So you have been warned there is spoiler information in this post. If you do not want to know do not read any further. To read rest of interview go to this link: True Blood Season 3 Spoiler News: Alan Ball Reveals a Little Fresh Blood
This oughta get the True Blood-thirsty among you salivating! Since Alan Ball has confirmed that season 3 will make an animal attraction of the werewolf Alcide (who debuted in the third Sookie novel, Club Dead), I thought I — and, in turn, you — should help the series’ busy, busy creator on his hunt for just the right actor to sink his teeth into the juicy part.

Charlaine Harris Interviewed by USA Weekend October 8, 2009 by Janie Logan
Charlaine Harris has a full plate at the moment. Her compilation of Sookie Stackhouse short stories, A Touch of Dead, just hit the shelf in bookstores this week. The 4th book in the Harper Connelly Mysteries series is scheduled for release next month, and the 10th Sookie Stackhouse novel, Dead in the Family, will be here in May 2010. Very fittingly, Charlaine will be the queen of the Vampire Ball in New Orleans later in October.
In a recent interview with USA Weekend, Charlaine talked about the supernatural, in her books and others. We can now see how well she writes about worlds full of vampires, weres, and shisell a work of fantasy like that when she wrote Dead Until Dark, the 1st Sookie book.fters, but she says it was hard to

Swedish heartthrob Alexander Skarsgård will attend the GQ Men of the Year awards in Los Angeles Nov. 18. Skarsgård, 33, was born in Stockholm but became an international sex symbol after being cast as the bad-boy vampire Eric Northman in the hit HBO series True Blood. Alexander, who has been voted the Sexiest Man Alive in Sweden for the past five years, flew into LAX airport Tuesday night from Stockholm, where he was filming the indie flick Puss. Skarsgård is being honored Wednesday at the GQ awards for being one of the Men Who Saved HBO.
The hunky 6'4" Alexander stays in shape by lifting weights and running on the treadmill. He says he tries to work out 5 days a week because he "doesn't like being so skinny."
Alexander, whose dad is Swedish star Stellan Skarsgård, 58, (Angels & Demons, Ronin,Good Will Hunting), will begin shooting season 3 of True Blood later this month.
The first season of the hit series received widespread critical acclaim and won several awards, including a Golden Globe and an Emmy in 2008.

According to Alan Ball in interview with Entertainment Weekly at Comic-Com in San Diego, CA.....
"True Blood will be back for a third season, exec producer Alan Ball told fans of the HBO vampire series at Comic-Con late Saturday afternoon, while author Charlaine Harris, whose novels form the basis for the series, told the crowd that she has signed a deal to write three more books. A rapt audience of thousands roared when stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård said that their love triangle will heat up in the second half of the current season, with Moyer promising that his Bill will be "fighting harder" for Sookie’s increasingly Eric-attracted heart. When Ball was asked if the romance will follow the arc of Harris’ novels, the producer paused and then answered with just, “Yes.” It was hard to know if he was serious or kidding—but most interpreted it as serious."
"The big theme for the second half of the season is war—and if you’re a fan of the show, you know the rivals. Ball—who delighted fans by vowing you’ll never see half-vamp/half-human hybrids on his show (“You’re either all human or all vampire”)—says that he’s looking forward to introducing werewolves and the Mississippi vampires from Harris’ books into the series next season, but said he had no vision to bring in Bubba, a fan fave from the books. Harris—who admitted to being initially shocked by Ball’s racy adaptation of her franchise--says she feels no obligation to mirror the TV series in her forthcoming books. “I don’t tell him how to run a show, and he doesn’t tell me how to write the books,” she quipped, in a way that didn’t sound nearly as testy as it may read."
