Eric must atone! I have not read the books and after reading the threads think I would stay with loosely basing storylines from books. When I tell friends about the show and they haven't read the books either, they have tuned in to season 2 and I fear I lost potential fans (Plus they think I am a freak). Mostly what I would hear back is MaryAnn storyline was raunch/gauche. While I agree that storyline was not my fav (last two episodes of season 2 you almost lost me) I tell them to go back to beginning (unfortunately it is no longer on HBO and doubtful they will purchase). As to Eric. With total disregard to Bill/Sookie's relationship and his deceitful methods in pursuing the objective of his affection there should be a more painful price to pay when he realizes who he really wants. Enter the Dark Angel-lethal with a dagger, matches his intelligence, witty, vulnerable-soft spoken, capable of deep passionate love but unavailable to Eric because he has been bad. (She is slender, large breasts, long black hair, violet eyes and black (or purple) wings). Cast from heaven to search for and slay vampires who kill humans for food, her mission is to bring justice to those vampires who will not change. Condensed version of storyline, Eric see's her, rescues her (oh-she is in a desparate sitation), wants her but at 1,000+ years old must go through some painful personal growth-including gaining Bill's forgiveness to even begin to measure up to anything in her eyes. Add suspense to their budding difficult romance because she is coming up on her only fertile time in life and her chosen was slain by a vampire in Eric's territory.
Jason Stackhouse would be an even greater terror if he were a newbie vampire and set his sights on the preacher's wife!
Be cool if Sookie could somehow get pregnant with Bill's baby.

"I am totally disappointed in the DVD. The bonus features stink! I was really hoping to see behind the scences and interviews with Alan Ball and the cast members of true blood. I can honestly say the DVD was not what I was expecting.
